John Cena is probably one of the biggest hypes in WWE right now as he always goes out there and brings a lot of attention to the fans. ## First reported by Variety, 16-time World Champion John Cena will appear on the final SmackDown of 2022. The announcement got hotter when Cena appeared during the 16th edition of SmackDown. During the appearance, Cena announced that In two weeks, he will make his long-awaited return as he teams with Kevin Owens to take on Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn on SmackDown. ## Cena's appearance on the 16 edition of SmckDown was just put on to cover their ticket sales which they have now place successful. Dave Meltzer stated that John Cena is the exception and because of that they have sold 4,000 tickets in Tampa since he was announced. ## Now, Cena is also hyping his upcoming match. Swerve Strickland Reveals Top Names He Would Like To Work With In 2023

Swerve Strickland is growing fast since making his AEW debut. Following his departure from WWE, Strickland, now using the name Swerve Strickland, signed with All Elite Wrestling. He made his in-ring debut for AEW on the March 11 episode of AEW Rampage, scoring a pinfall victory over Tony Nese. ## Following his debut, Strickland aligned himself with Keith lee, making it a powerful stable. They initially joined hands against Team Taz (Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks). Now, known as "Swerve In Our Glory," defeated The Young Bucks and Team Taz in a Triple or Nothing match to become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions. ## However, their alliance came to an end after they would then enter a three match series with The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens), defeating them at All Out, losing the belts to them in a rematch at Dynamite: Grand Slam after Strickland slapped Lee when Lee refused to use a pair of pliers as a weapon, causing Lee to walk out on the match. ## Strickland formed a new stable, Mogul Affiliates, with Parker Boudreaux, Granden Goetzman, and famed rapper Rick Ross. While Swerve seems headed for a one-on-one showdown with Lee, he has other top names in mind that he would like to work with in 2023. ## “Someone like that I’ve always admired—he’s currently not healthy at the moment—is Kyle O’Reilly. I’ve admired that man for so long, so many years,” Strickland told Stephanie Holland of The Root. “I’d pick a one on one match, because he’s literally the most unique in-ring performer in the world. Just so unique, so versatile, doesn’t get as much credit as he deserves for how good he is. ## He’s someone I definitely want to tie up with. Andrade is someone I’ve always admired as well. I feel like he was on his way to having one of the biggest breakout performances in wrestling a couple years ago. I know he’s hurt too. AEW Dynamite closed out 2022 with a TNT title bout, plus match six in the World Trios Championship series on the New Year's Smash episode. ## During the show, Multiple new matches were announced for the final AEW Rampage edition of 2023. The final AEW Rampage of 2022 will feature two title matches. ## In one of the championship bouts, Orange Cassidy will put his All-Atlantic Title on the line against Trent Beretta. It should be noted that this will be their first-ever singles match. ## Plush, Following back-to-back wins in the Eliminators last week, Jade Gargill will defend her title against former Baddie Kiera Hogan. Hogan was previously part of the Jade Cargill group, but she was kicked by Cargill several weeks ago. So, this is a good chance for Hogan to take the revenge if she gets to win the title. ## Also set for next week is a singles match between Swerve Strickland and the ROH Pure champion Wheeler Yuta. Cain Velasquez: 'It Was A Little Uncomfortable Planning The Match With Brock Lesnar'

Cain Velasquez hasn't much wrestled for WWE, but his match against Brock Lesnar is always one of the top things to discuss about. ## Velasquez made his WWE debut, accompanied by Rey Mysterio, coming out to confront and eventually attack Brock Lesnar after his WWE Championship victory as a measure of revenge for Lesnar attacking Mysterio and his son, Dominik, earlier in the week. ## Velasquez then went on to face Lesnar at Crown Jewel for the WWE Championship which Velasquez lost. WWE had forged a plan to use Velasquez at their Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, but he suffered an injury and the idea was scrapped. ## However, his wrestling contract came to an end when he was released from his WWE contract due to budget cuts resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. ## During an appearance on Konnan’s podcast, WWE celebrity wrestler Cain Velasquez talked about his match against Brock Lesnar from the 2019 Crown Jewel PLE. ## “Yeah, professional and I would say it was a little uncomfortable [planning the match with Brock Lesnar]. I’m just so new to the wrestling world but everyone that I’ve worked with has been amazing as far as, you take care of everybody. We really do try to put in some good things in there where everyone gets what they want out of it and making it just for the fans. ## Working with Brock was interesting man, that’s all I’m gonna say. It was very different. You kind of just learn from your life and okay, this is what this was.
