AJ Styles Wrestled In A Match After WWE SmackDown This Week

Fans attending SmackDown's July 29 show in Atlanta on Friday night were in for a treat. AJ Styles, who lives in Gainesville, Georgia, participated in a one-on-one dark match against Happy Corbin when SmackDown went off the air.## Styles hit his phenomenal forearm finisher for the pin-fall victory. Seeing the victory of Raw Star, the fans left for home after being happy. Sadly, fans watching live on Fox didn't see the match going down.## AJ has been featured regularly on Raw in recent weeks, starting with a minor feud with The Miz and then teaming up with Dolph Ziggler to face The Alpha Academy. We'll see if this pairing was a one-off or will become a long-term story as Ziggler and Styles develop as a pair.## Another dark match featured Raquel Rodriguez, a rising SmackDown star who dominated NXT, going up against Shayna Baszler. Rodriguez came out on top after his signature Tejana bomb and successful pin.## Rodriguez has been featured in only one televised match since the Money in the Bank ladder match on July 2, where she and five other women lost to eventual winner Liv Morgan. Huge Title Match Confirmed For AEW Battle Of The Belts III

Cesaro left WWE and made his long-awaited AEW debut at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view event. Since then, he has become a mainstay of AEW television. He is also set to defend his title in AEW Battle of the Belts III.## Now known as Claudio Castagnoli, he defeated Jonathan Gresham to become the new ROH World Champion in the Death Before Dishonored pay-per-view.## During Friday's fight for The Fallen edition of AEW Rampage, it was announced that Claudio Castagnoli would be defending his ROH World Championship against Kenosuke Takeshita. It is Claudio's first title since winning the title last week.## The Battle of the Belts III will be taped next Friday, August 5 from the Van Del Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Then the one-hour special airs the next night, Saturday, August 6 at 8 p.m. ET. The Street Profits (with Special Guest Referee Jeff Jarrett) takes place on July 30, 2022 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. ## At Money in the Bank, The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) defeated The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. Following the match, replayed footage of the pinfall showed that Ford's shoulder was off the mat, thus the pinfall should not have been counted. ## A championship rematch was then subsequently scheduled for SummerSlam. On the July 15 episode of SmackDown, WWE official Adam Pearce announced that WWE Hall of Famer and Nashville area native Jeff Jarrett would be the special guest referee for the match. ## WWE SummerSlam 2022 Results: The Usos Vs. The Street Profits Full Match ## Starting off the match are Angelo and Jey Uso, Angelo is taking over the control, and The Usos with a double team hits a splash from the top rope, Jimmy goes for the cover, but doesn't get it. Jimmy tags in and holds a chin lock on Angelo.## Angelo is back on his feet, but no relief from the offense, Jimmy keeps unleasing. Angelo follows up elbows, trying to get off control, Jimmy with a massive right to send him into the turnbuckle. Jimmy with a kick into the turnbuckle.## Jimmy goes for another, but this time Angelo sides up and Jimmy crashes into the turnbuckle, there is tag exchange from both sides, Ford with a massive Crossbody on Jey Uso. Ford with a Neck Breaker followed by a Standing Moonsault.## Ford chops on the chest, Ford rolls on and lands on his feet, Ford with a Blockbuster Neckbreaker from the standing position. Thing turns up for Jey as he sends Ford to the mate with a perfect Neckbreaker. he got the job done, and Jimmy and Jey offense is incoming. Meanwhile, Ford sends them flying over the top ropes and Angelo tags in.## Angelo shoots a Suicide dive, The Usos are back into the ring. A chaos going through, The Usos lands a massive Double Superkick on Ford. Jimmy Usos goes to the top of the turnbuckle and connects with a Frog Splash for the cover, but kicks out at two and half.## Yet again, Jimmy and Jey go up to the top and performs a Frog Splash of their own. The cover is made, but Angelo makes the save. Angelo with Spinbuster, and immediately tags with Ford. Ford from heaven shoots a Frog Splash, the cover is made 1..2..and kicks out. The match is still going on.## The Usos with Double team, land Superkick, Jimmy and Jey with a double super kick to Dawkins. Dawkins is sent to the floor and they hit a double super kick followed by 1D for the three-count.## WWE SummerSlam 2022 Results: The Usos Vs. The Miz Full Match ## Paul fires back, Paul sends The Miz over the ropes and gets on the apron to plant a Moonsault off the apron. Both are back in the ring. Miz backs Paul into the turnbuckle and clicks up with a chope, Paul Reverses and lands his own.## Ciampa is playing the distraction meanwhile from the ring post, The Miz with a chin lock, and the crowd is chanting, "Tiny Ball". The Miz with a knee, but Paul sides up and connects with the turnbuckle, Paul with a Boot, and immediately lands with a Neckbreaker from the second rope.## A back elbow was delivered followed by a Running Powerbomb. Paul is ripping off The Miz with kicks, Miz is up, but Paul with a nasty attack on the knee to take him down.## Paul goes for the Ankle lock, The Miz saves by touching the bottom ropes, Paul with a Forearm over the top and goes for a Crossbody followed by standing Moonsault for the cover, but kicks out at two and a half.## Miz with a back elbow to the head followed by a boot to the head. Paul with a back elbow and Miz goes down. Miz grabs the referee to distract him but he is able to see Ciampa and Ciampa is sent to the back.## Ciampa gets a chair and sits down at ringside. AJ Styles’ music plays and he hits Ciampa off the ringside barrier. Styles with punches and he sends Ciampa into the crowd. They fight to the back through the crowd.## Paul for a near fall with a springboard forearm. Maryse gets up on the apron and she is trying to stop Paul but it doesn't work. Paul with a frog splash to The Miz through the table. Paul brings Miz back into the ring and covers Miz but Maryse distracts the referee.## Paul argues with Maryse while the referee tells Maryse to get off the apron. Miz tries to kill Paul with his Gem Mint Zero photo but Paul walks in and he almost hits his wife but stops.
