CM Punk is a world champion for the first time in over nine years, since January 2013. ## The match was highly personal with storytelling that was as compelling as the hard-hitting action inside the ring, with hangman Adam Page holding on to his championship belt in the middle of the match and telling Punk that it would never be his. ## During the match, Page was conflicted about Punk using the belt as a weapon but he threw the belt and tried a buckshot lariat but Punk countered in the GTS and he pinned Page to win the title. ## AEW Double Or Nothing 2022 took place on May 29, 2022, at the T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It got a lot of attention.
