Box Office: 'Salaar' Opening Day Early Estimates; Takes A Historic Start

Hyderabad, December 22 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire has taken an earth-shattering opening at the domestic as well as the worldwide box office, easily becoming the biggest Indian opener of 2023, and one of the biggest of all-time. ## Directed by Prashanth Neel, the action drama started showing its dominance in the first show itself and remained unshakable throughout the day, especially in the original Telugu language. The other versions, including Hindi, also performed well, scripting a huge first day. ## As per the early estimates, Salaar scored approximately 90+ crores net (110+ crores gross) in all versions on its opening day. In Hindi, the film scored an estimated 15+ crores net which is a good opening considering the clash with an outright Bollywood film. ## The film's initial word of mouth is positive and the bookings for the rest of the Christmas weekend are excellent which means a massive weekend is on the cards. Overseas, Salaar is estimated to gross 55+ crores opening day, including premiers, resulting in a worldwide opening of 165+ crores. ## Salaar was one of the most anticipated Indian films of the year which can be seen in its opening. Director Prashanth Neel Responds On People Calling 'Salaar' A Remake of 'Ugramm'

Bangalore, December 21 - Prashanth Neel is one of the most successful directors coming out of Kannada cinema. Still, despite that, he has always been under the scrutiny of the media and critics for his style of filmmaking as many of them think that he can't bring versatility to his filmmaking style and always stick to one pattern. ## Neel is gearing up for the release of Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, starring superstar Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The filmmaker is super confident that it will emerge as a big hit for him, however, at the same, there is a section of people that is trying to create negativity around the film by calling it the remake of Neel's "Ugramm". ## During a recent interview, Neel was asked if "Salaar" is the remake of "Ugramm", and his response shows his love for his passion and big screen cinema. "Ugramm was made for theatres. It was made for the cinema halls and I always had that pain. Not to take away anything from KGF, but the idea, the world-building, came to me from Ugramm. When Ugramm happened and I did not get what I wanted, I made a conscious decision that I was going to do something that would always fill the halls", he said (via Indian Express). ## The director further said that while he got what he wanted in the KGF series which was a massive blockbuster it is the subject of Ugramm that he wanted the world to see and now, he is exploring that idea by bringing newness to the story and is expecting to fulfil his deepest ambition. ## "I haven't filled cinema halls for that subject and instead of calling it a remake of Ugramm, I wanted to retell that story. I wanted to fill cinema halls and I am doing that on 22nd. Whatever people think, at the end of the day Ugramm is mine. It's not a point that I am trying to prove. I want to fulfil one of my deepest ambitions of filling theatres for that particular subject and that is what Salaar is. I have changed a lot of things. I don't care if people say this fellow cannot think beyond Ugramm and KGF", he added. ## The film is produced by Hombale Films and it is scheduled to release on December 22nd in Telugu along with the dubbed versions of Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil. ## Stay tuned...

The movie is being directed by debutante Shouryuv. ## The title and the first look poster with a glimpse of the movie were launched today (July 13). The movie revolves around Nani, who is playing the role of father to a six-year-old girl, and Mrunal Thakur who seems to have an intriguing role. ## The poster shows Nani standing beside a wall checking his phone and carrying the little girl on his shoulder as she gives a flying kiss to Mrunal Thakur standing behind them. The blockbuster actor-director duo has previously collaborated on the superhit movies "Don Seenu" (2010), "Balupu" (2013), and "Krack" (2021). ## The leading Telugu production house, Mythri Movie Makers will be bankrolling this project which is said to be based on real incidents. ## The makers announced the movie today (July 9) with the first-look motion poster which shows a burning village, called Chundur. It appears to be about a disaster that occurred in the village. ## S Thaman is on board to score the music and his BGM in the motion poster is captivating. The shoot of the film will commence soon. Pushpa: The Rise Hindi Theater Experience: Complete Entertainment

Dec 17, 2021: Being a south Industry fan (also a movie fan), always wanted to see good south movies in Cinema either dubbed Hindi version or English subtitle with the original version. From the first look of Pushpa: The Rise and with the announcement of the Hindi release, already decided to watch Pushpa in the theater. ## And today, the day came, first watched Spiderman: No way Home, enjoy that film too, and then came to second theaters with the only expectations that only 10-15 people will be there in the theater. But I was wrong, When we entered the cinema hall, at least 40-50 people were already there. The final count was 60-70. ## Now, Pushpa Shows started and we forgot that we were watching a dubbed version or original, Dubbing was good but the story of this film was very good and took into the world of Pushpa. ## Then, It was Allu Arjun's show all over, What a Swag, Fighting Scene, Comedy Elements, and most importantly, his body language was enough to entertain throughout the show. I totally loved his character. ## Rashmika Mandana's part was also good and the romance between Allu Arjun and her was taking the story to another level. It was lovely and very realistic in terms of romantic scenes. ## Other characters were also well-written and justified with the movie. ## In the cinema hall, At least, 20-30 times people whistled for Allu Arjun's Swag and on Fight Scenes. The cheering for him was almost constant throughout the show. ## Songs were good even in Hindi dubbing but only 2 songs were not good in Hindi dubbing.
