Box Office: 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' and 'Ulajh' Head For Low Opening

Mumbai, August 1 - The first collaboration between Bollywood star Ajay Devgn and acclaimed director Neeraj Pandey, a romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is finally hitting the big screens on August 2. The movie also features Tabu, Saiee Manjrekar, and Shantanu Maheshwari in key roles. ## Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha was one of the most anticipated movies at the time of its announcement in October 2022 but with just a few hours left for the release, there is hardly any buzz for the movie despite the involvement of the top names in it and multiple delays. ## There have been many films, featuring known stars over the last few years which shockingly scored low openings and as things stand currently, AMKDT is heading for the same fate. The pre-sales of the movie are extremely poor, as expected, in the lines of Akshay Kumar's Selfiee. ## As far as the domestic box office opening of the movie is concerned, things are not looking good with the expected start in the range of 2-3 crores. A lot will depend on word of mouth, but even the positive reception is unlikely to change much as there is very little room for the movie to score due to its subject and tight competition with new as well as strong holdovers.## With AMKDT, there is Janhvi Kapoor-fronted thriller Ulajh is releasing on August 2nd and despite the well-received trailer, the movie has failed to generate any sort of buzz. As for box office prospects of Ulajh, things are looking even worse than the Ajay Devgn-fronted.## Depending on word of mouth and walk-ups, Ulajh is heading to take the opening in the range of 1-2 crores net, which is one of the lowest of the year. Mumbai, August 1 - The sequel to 1997's war epic Border was recently announced with Sunny Deol returning to reprise his role as MVC, Lieutenant Major Kuldip Singh Chandpuri. Kesari director Anurag Singh has been attached to direct Border 2 which will be a joint production by T-Series and JP Films.## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh has joined Sunny Deol in this highly-anticipated film. Dosanjh is fresh from the blockbuster film Jatt and Juliet 3 which has become the highest-grossing Indian Punjabi film of all time at the worldwide box office.## Dosanjh's character details in Border 2 are currently kept under wraps but the Punjabi singer-actor is said to be excited to play another real-life role after portraying renowned Punjabi musician, Amar Singh Chamkila in Imtiaz Ali's recently released Netflix movie of the same name.## Interestingly, Diljit Dosanjh has had a long relationship with director Anurag Singh. The duo has worked together in as many as five Punjabi films such as Jatt & Juliet, Jatt and Juliet 2, Disco Singh, Punjab 1984, and Super Singh between 2012 and 2017. Border 2 will be their 6th movie together.## Meanwhile, Border 2 is expected to feature Ayushmann Khurrana who is in advance talks. The glimpse shows Prabhas in his vintage avatar as a charming lover boy who is being loved by his fans who have been seeing the actor in mass action roles for the last few years.## The Raja Saab is produced by People Media Factory and the production house announced on social media that the 45-second video the First Look Glimpse scored 20+ million digital views in the first 24 hours. Hyderabad, July 30 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR is setting up a massive movie line-up as he gears up for the release of the much-awaited Devara: Part 1 on September 28, 2024. It will be the actor's first film since the mega-blockbuster RRR in March 2022.## According to the report by Pinkvilla, Jr. NTR is in talks with Nani's Hi Nanna director Shouryuv for a two-part mega-budgeted action drama. The first part is scheduled to go on floors by 2026 for 2028 release. If all goes well, it will be the maiden collaboration between the actor and one film old director.## It is said that Jr. NTR has loved the subject and he has asked Shouryuv to develop it into a screenplay. It's a high-octane action drama and is planned as a two-parter. Chennai, July 30 - The Tamil Film Producers Council has made some sensational decisions regarding the functioning of Tamil films and actors. As per reports, TFPC has decided to hold the shootings of the new Tamil movies after August 15. ## It is learned that many producers have complained about actors' negligence towards completing the films despite taking advance payment. California, July 28 - Amid the shocking announcement of Robert Downey Jr.'s Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) coming back in a different avatar, Marvel Studios has revealed the title of Fantastic Four which will be the 37th movie in the MCU.## During Marvel Studios' most anticipated panel at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) on Sunday (IST), the film's title was revealed as Fantastic Four: First Steps. The movie stars Pedro Pascal (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing). ## WandaVision director, Matt Shakman has been tasked to direct the latest take on the classic Marvel team that originated in the comics in 1961. Oscar winner Michael Giacchino was confirmed as the composer of the film that is scheduled to be released on July 25, 2025, as the first movie in the MCU's Phase 6.## The original Fantastic Four movie, starring Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd and Michael Chiklis, was released in 2005, followed by its sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer in 2007 with the same cast.
