Ajay Devgn's 'Son of Sardaar 2' Shoot Begins; Full Cast Details Revealed

Mumbai, July 21 - The hugely-anticipated comedy entertainer Son of Sardaar 2, starring Bollywood star Ajay Devgn, has commenced filming on July 20 in Edinburgh, Scotland. The movie is being directed by Punjabi filmmaker Vijay Kumar Arora and produced by Ajay Devgn in association with Jio Studios.## It was recently reported that actress Mrunal Thakur would be playing the female lead, replacing Sonakshi Sinha from the original movie. Sanjay Dutt also joins the returning cast from the first movie with Pankaj Tripathi and Kubbra Sait reportedly joining the cast as new members. ## SOS2 is the sequel to 2012's Son of Sardaar which itself was a remake of the 2010 Telugu film Maryada Ramanna, directed by SS Rajamouli. SOS was a big box-office success with a worldwide gross collection of 150 crores as one of the 10 highest-grossing Bollywood films of the year.## According to the reports, it is not yet clear whether Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt will reprise their roles as Jassi and Balwinder Singh Sandhu aka Billu as the story of SOS2 is said to be fresh and doesn't pick up where the original ended.## The movie will be released in 2025.## Stay tuned...

Box Office: 'Bad Newz' Second Day/First Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, July 20 - After taking the career-best start for Vicky Kaushal with 8.30 crores net, comedy-drama Bad Newz is seeing a jump of around 20% on its second day with collection around to the double-digit score. ## On its first Saturday, the Anand Tiwari's directorial venture scored an estimated 9.75-10.25 crores net collection, taking the total to around 18+ crores in two days. The 3-day opening weekend is expected to be around 30 crores net which is a fantastic result for the movie. ## The film's biz is being driven by Delhi NCR while other areas are performing decently. Bad Newz is more of an urban so the mass centres are on the lower side which is expected. The opening weekend is looking in a much better position than 2-3 weeks back but it will eventually come down to Monday to see where the movie will go. ## The word of mouth for the film is on the positive side so one can expect Bad Newz to hold well on Monday and going forward. It marks the duo's first collaboration.## Recently, it was revealed that Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna had joined Ranveer to play key roles. Now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, Aditya Dhar and his team are gearing up to kickstart the filming on July 25. ## The first schedule of the yet-untitled film will take place in Thailand, where most of the intel network interacts with each other. Hyderabad, July 18 - Vyjayanthi Movies' epic sci-fi blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD is marching towards 1000 crores club at the worldwide box office and before reaching the milestone, it has created a new milestone of selling the highest number of tickets on Book My Show. ## The Prabhas-fronted tentpole has so far sold around 12.50 million (1.25 crores) tickets for all days, which is the highest for any movie since the platform started updating hourly trends on its app. It has beaten Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan which sold approximately 1.24 crores of tickets on BMS. ## Including Book My Show sold tickets, Nag Ashwin's directorial movie has sold an estimated 3.30 crores (33 million) tickets in 21 days so far. It has grossed an estimated 708 crores (596 crores net) at the domestic box office so far and is heading towards finishing around 750 crores gross final. ## Kalki 2898 AD is the fifth highest-grossing film in India and the 7th highest-grossing Indian title at the worldwide box office with 970+ crores gross so far. It will enter the 1000 crores worldwide club in the 4th week to become the 7th Indian movie of all time to achieve the milestone.## It is the first film in the planned Kalki universe, starring Prabhas alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, among many others in prominent roles.
