Salman Khan Resumes Shoot of 'Sikandar' Amid Postponement Rumours: Report

Mumbai, October 23 - Superstar Salman Khan has reportedly resumed filming of the much-anticipated action drama Sikandar amid the postponement rumours. The film is directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. ## There have been media reports about the superstar postponing the shooting schedule of Sikandar due to the murder of politician Baba Siddique and the death threats to Salman from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang, but the latest development suggests that things are going as par plans for the movie. ## According to the Hindustan Times, Salman has resumed the shoot as per the planned schedule, keeping to the commitments he is known for. The Sikandar team is determined to deliver a timely quality film and Salman is perfectly in sync with those plans. The current schedule is in Mumbai, after which the actor will move to Hyderabad for the next schedule. ## Sikandar marks Salman Khan's maiden collaboration with director A.R. Murugadoss. Chennai, October 16 - Superstar Rajinikanth's action drama Vettaiyan has entered the 200 crores club at the worldwide box office in just 6 days, becoming the second Tamil movie of 2024 to achieve the feat after Thalapathy Vijay's The Greatest of All Time.## After the good extended first weekend with 189 crores worldwide gross, Vettaiyan, however, has dropped heavily in the first 2 working days. On Monday, the collection dropped by around 75% followed by another around 25% drop on Tuesday for approximately 14 crores worldwide gross in 2 days. ## The total worldwide collection of the film after 6 days stands at approximately 203 crores gross, including 134 crores in India and 69 crores overseas. The domestic collection of 134 crores includes 81 crores in the home state, Tamil Nadu as it is marching towards 100 crores gross in the state. ## It is the 7th movie of Rajinikanth to top 200 crores worldwide gross, after 2.0, Jailer, Enthiran, Kabali, Petta, and Darbar. After the Covid-19 pandemic, Vettaiyan is the second film of the superstar to enter this box office club after Jailer.## Despite the good first weekend, the overall collection of Vettaiyan is underwhelming due to the weak trend during the weekdays. Suriya's 'Kanguva' Theatrical Runtime Revealed

Chennai, October 16 - Tamil star Suriya's Kanguva is gearing up for the big screen debut in less than a month on November 14. Directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, the movie is made on a huge budget. ## Kanguva is one of the most anticipated Pan India movies and the makers have planned wide promotions across the country, especially for the Hindi version. Meanwhile, the makers have locked the theatrical runtime and the details emerging are exciting considering the runtime. ## During a recent interview, director Siva revealed that the film is 2 hours and 26 minutes long without titles. Suriya is playing a dual role and giving the details about the same, the director said that the historical portions of the movie are 2 hours long, featuring the Kanguva character. ## The other character played by Suriya is named Francis in the present time and this portion will be 25 minutes long, according to Siva, and he that Kanguva's character will be fiery, while Francis will be funny and frolic in nature. These two characters are completely contrasting. ## The theatrical runtime of Kanguva is shorter than the recent Pan India blockbusters as most of them clocked almost 3 hours.
