KKR - 5 Players To Watch Out For In IPL 2019

The two-time champions and one of the semi-finalists last year, Kolkata Knight Riders have seen so many changes over the last 12 years of IPL. There is an emotional connection as well that make KKR different team from the others. From their most beloved son Sourav Ganguly to Dinesh Karthik, KKR has had their ups and downs. After getting nothing in first three years of the tournament, KKR cuts the ties with Ganguly and handed the captaincy to Gautam Gambhir who won them 2 titles in first years of his captaincy term and became the synonym of KKR.## In 2018, Dinesh Karthik was handed the captaincy and did well to take KKR to the playoffs in his first term as captain. Though KKR has some high-class batsman in Chris Lynn, Robin Uthappa, and Dinesh Karthik, their strongest link has always been their bowling that will again lead by Kuldeep Yadav and Sunil Narine, two world-class spinners along with the pacers like Lockie Ferguson, and Andre Russell.## Keeping the injuries aside, KKR is looking strong enough to make to the top four again. However, we understand that there are five players who will decide the fate of the KKR and can turn the match on single-handedly on any day.## Here is the list of the 5 players to watch out for in IPL 2019 (KKR):## 1. Chris Lynn (Batsman) - A strong bottom hand batsman who can take even the best of a bowler on any day, Chris Lynn is one of the most accomplished batsmen in Australia. In Big Bash League, Australia crowd know him as the best hitter of the cricket ball. He has become KKR's number one choice of a foreign batsman and has been sensational as an opener in the last couple of seasons and KKR would be hoping him continue that form in 2019 as well.## A statical view of his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 16 16 491 74 0 3 130.23 Overall 28 28 875 93 0 6 141.13 ## 2. Shubman Gill (Batsman) - According to Virat Kohli "He was not even 20% of what Shubman Gill at this stage". Well, it is nothing sort of the biggest compliment Gill can ever get from the world's best batsman himself. The player of the tournament of India's U-19 world cup title triumph last year, Gill made his IPL debut last year and was impressive in phases. With the experience of the last year, he is going to play the key role this year for the KKR.## A statical view of his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 13 11 203 57* 0 1 146.04 ## 3. Andre Russell (All-Rounder) - A typical West Indian player, Andre Russell is a bustling pacer and a powerful lower middle-order batsman too. He has one of the best strike rates in IPL. His ability to change the game on his terms makes him the player to watch out for in this year's Indian Premier League.## A statical view of his IPL career (Batting)## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 16 14 316 88* 0 1 184.79 Overall 50 39 890 88* 0 4 177.29 ## Bowling## YearMatchesInningsWicketsBBI5-WicketsEcon 2018 16 15 13 - 0 9.38 Overall 50 49 44 4/20 0 8.75 ## 4. After making his IPL debut in 2017, Ferguson could only play 4 games and didn't play in last season. But he has the edge of the extra Pace that makes him a player to watch out for.## A statical view of his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsWicketsBBI5-WicketsEcon 2018 - - - - - - Overall 4 4 3 2/7 0 7.15 ## 5. KKR is lucky enough to have both Russell and Narine who have strike rate over 170 in IPL and both are equally effective with the ball. RR - 5 Players To Watch Out For In IPL 2019

A dream starts to their Indian Premier League who had unknown faces, Rajasthan Royals surprised everybody with the title triumph in the inaugural season. But the fact is it remained the only diamond to their crown. Barring a third-place finish in the 2013 season, Rajasthan Royals have never looked to stick to their winning formula that once was their surprised weapon.## Just like the Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals to have seen dark days when they were banned for two years. But once they back in 2018, a grand return was expected but unlike CSK, they flattered to deceive again. However, RR made it to the playoffs but the absence of Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes did cost them who were the main players to take RR to top four.## Will 2019 be the start of a new chapter for them? Certainly can be. They should take confidence from how they played in the latter part of the tournament in last year and the also the inclusion of Steve Smith who once was their best batsman will be enough to boost their confidence. But we understand that there are five players who will hold the key for Rajasthan Royals.## Here is the list of 5 players to watch out for in IPL 2019 (RR):## 1. Steve Smith (Batsman) - Steve Smith has seen the possibly worst days of a sportsman when he was banned for the one year by Cricket Australia from all the cricket activities after found his involvement in ball-tampering at Newlands against South Africa last year along with David Warner and Camron Bancroft. But now he has returned and will be more hungry to perform at the big stage. It is going to be important not only for RR but Smith as well who will likely be the part of Australia's world cup squad starting later this year. He is surely going to a player to watch out for this season.## A statical view of his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 - - - - - - - Overall 69 62 1,703 101 1 5 131.71 ## 2. Rahul Tripathi (Batsman) - Rahul Tripathi was one of the best batsmen for Rising Pune Supergiant in 2017. A classy batsman who can hit the ball hard with ease, Rahul Tripathi is hopeful to play the big role for RR this season. However, barring one or two knocks, he couldn't make his mark last year but the flexibility of him playing at any position makes him a player to watch out for this year IPL.## A statical view of his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 12 12 226 80* 0 1 135.32 Overall 26 26 617 93 0 3 142.17 ## 3. Jofra Archer (All-Rounder) - A fiery pacer who can take the bull by the horns with the bat, Jofra Archer is a typical West Indies' all-rounder. Though it is a loss for Windies that he will not represent his own country. The world saw him first in the Big Bash League playing for the Hobart Hurricanes and one is the find of BBL. He made his IPL debut last year and was impressed with the ball. Royals made a mistake by not playing him in the first few matches. But a team is as good as he learns from its mistake, Archer can be the trump card for his side.## A statical view of his IPL career (Batting)## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 10 8 15 8 0 0 71.43 ## Bowling## YearMatchesInningsWicketsBBI5-WicketsEcon 2018 10 10 15 3/22 0 8.37 ## 4. He was ordinary but still, RR showed faith in him by picking again after releasing from the squad. In Rising Pune Supergiant's successful campaign where they lost in the final in 2017, Jaydev Unadkat was the second highest wicket taker of the tournament with 24 wickets.## A statical view of his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsWicketsBBI5-WicketsEcon 2018 15 15 11 - 0 9.65 Overall 62 61 67 5/25 2 8.4 ## Follow for more...

MI - 5 Players To Watch Out For In IPL 2019

A slow starter but ends the season on high, Mumbai Indians has its own way of dealing with pressure. The three-time champions and one-time runner up, Mumbai Indians did rise from nothing. One will found them the down of the points table most part of the IPL but somehow they managed to make into top 4 and from thereon, they have won the title not once but thrice in 11 seasons of the Indian Premier League.## Mumbai Indians has never been sort of star players. From Sachin Tendulkar to Rohit Sharma, MI has seen so many star players in 11 years of journey. However, last year MI couldn't make it to the playoffs and restricted to the number 5 in points table. This year, Indians will have an opportunity to learn from their mistakes and back to the winning way.## Skipper Rohit Sharma has already said that he will be opening for the entire season so he will have the responsibility to give solid start while Jasprit Bumrah will lead the bowling unit. But we understand that there are five players apart from Rohit and Bumrah who will be the key for Mumbai Indians to win the title.## Here is the list of the 5 players to watch out for in IPL 2019 (MI):## 1. Yuvraj Singh (Batsman) - It has been a see-saw journey for Yuvraj Singh who is going through perhaps the last days of his professional career. Once the world cup hero now has become a lost warrior. He went unsold in the first round of the auction but Mumbai Indians showed trust upon him and grabbed in on his base price of INR 1 Crore. Before Mumbai Indians, Yuvraj Singh has for KXIP, PWI, SRH, DCS, and RCB. He will be in immense pressure and at the same time will have an opportunity to prove his worth.## A statical view at his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 8 6 65 20 0 0 89.04 Overall 128 122 2,652 83 0 12 129.68 ## 2. Hardik Pandya (All-Rounder) - Hardik Pandya is the find of Indian Premier League. He is one of the best all-rounders today with his electrifying fielding as well. It was 2015 when the world saw him for the first time and since then he never looked back and become the regular member for not only MI but the Indian Team as well. Eyes will be on his fitness which is the only concern.## A statical view at his IPL career (Batting)## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 13 13 260 50 0 1 133.33 Overall 50 46 666 61 0 2 138.75 ## Bowling## YearMatchesInningsWicketsBBI5-WicketsEcon 2018 13 13 18 - 0 8.92 Overall 50 44 28 3/24 0 9.02 ## 3. Ishan Kishan (WK-Batsman) - Ishan Kishan is the MI's first choice wicket-keeper batsman who can open the innings as well. One of the biggest positive for the Mumbai Indians last year was Ishan Kishan's fearless batting who scored with nearly 150 strike rate. He has now become the even more mature player and will be the player to watch out for in this year IPL.## A statical view at his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 14 12 275 62 0 2 149.45 Overall 30 27 594 62 0 3 137.82 ## 4. Mayank Markande (Bowler) - In the time when wrist spinners are in demand, Mayank Markande is the new member in that list. DCS - 5 Players To Watch Out For In IPL 2019

From Delhi Daredevils to Delhi Capitals, but the question is, will the fate be change? A team that has always rely on the young players more than the stars but is not the major cause of their letdown. DC's major problem has been its inexperienced middle order that has looked vulnerable at times. Delhi's strongest part is its bowling that hasn't allowed other teams to play the shots freely and always made sure that Delhi is not chasing big totals barring odd days. ## However, Delhi Capitals has found a star in Rishabh Pant who has been the go-to man for them. But at the same time, they will need more players like him to challenge the other teams. Despite being the powerhouse of talent, Delhi has managed the bottom of the points table in the last couple of season. The owners rooped in Gautam Gambhir last year but after the halfway mark he only became a bench sitter for the rest of the tournament.## A new season and another opportunity to learn from their past mistakes also the inclusion of Shikhar Dhawan will also boost their confidence who was phenomenal for Sunrisers Hyderabad and was one of the stars in Hyderabad's title triumph in 2016. They also rooped in Colin Ingram to provide some solidity in the middle order and hence, DC is looking the stronger than ever and they will be hoping it comes good.## Here is the list of 5 players to watch out for in IPL 2019 (DC):## 1. Shikhar Dhawan (Batsman) - Shikhar Dhawan's presence will certainly boost the confidence of DC's inexperienced batting line up. Dhawan has been brilliant for Sunrisers along with David Warner up the order. His recent form for India hasn't been quite up to the mark and therefore, he will be some under pressure but at the same time deep down he knows that how important will be his form for his old come new franchise and for India as well knowing that the world cup isn't that far away.## A statical view at his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 16 16 447 92* 0 4 136.91 Overall 143 142 4,057 95 0 32 123.50 ## 2. Prithvi Shaw (Batsman) - A star in making, Prithvi Shaw has promised a lot so far. He Won India U-19 World Cup in his captaincy and was to top scorer in the 2-match Test series against West Indies. If injury kept aside, he is will be the opener with Dhawan for Delhi Capitals for the 12th edition of Indian Premier League. He made his debut in the last year and was impressive and the ability to strike the ball makes him a player to watch out for.## A statical view at his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 9 9 245 65 0 2 153.12 ## 3. Colin Ingram (Batsman) - Colin Ingram did play in the IPL before in 2011 for the same franchise (Delhi Daredevils) but could only play three matches. He recently played in Pakistan Super League and managed to score 344 (4th highest) in 11 matches. Earlier in the auction, Delhi Capitals grabbed him with whopping INR 6.4 crore. Ingram has the ability to score quickly and at the same time play sensibly.## A statical view at his T20 career## FormatMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. He was Delhi's most consistent player in 2017 season where he scored 154 runs and took 12 wickets in 9 matches. Delhi heavily depends on him to provide a finishing touch who has the ability to play big shots. He is definitely going to play a big role for his franchise this year.## A statical view at his IPL career (Batting)## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 4 4 46 27* 0 0 176.92 Overall 52 33 485 82 0 2 166.67 ## Bowling## YearMatchesInningsWicketsBBI5-WicketsEcon 2018 4 4 3 - 0 10.21 Overall 52 52 56 4/23 0 7.75 ## 5. RCB - 5 Players To Watch Out For In IPL 2019

So near yet so far! Seems as if this phrase is made for only Royal Challengers Banglore who despite the star players, haven't been able to win the IPL trophy once. However, RCB has reached the finals three times but couldn't cross the line. One can call it destiny but according to captain and RCB's best batsman Virat Kohli "RCB has failed due to taking bad decisions"!## What lies in RCB's destiny only destiny knows but will it be right to blame only the fate? RCB's weakest link has been their bowling that has continuously conceded 180+ scores and puts a lot of pressure on their batting that sometimes becomes vulnerable against high scores. Umesh Yadav was brilliant last year with the new ball but once the ball got old RCB's bowling looked ordinary.## Virat Kohli along with AB de Villiers has been the standalone warriors for RCB and it is high time, other players start supporting the duo unless their dream to become the champion will only remain a dream forever. However, unlike the previous seasons, RCB has boosted the middle order with the picks of Marcus Stoinis and Shimron Hetmyer.## 1. Marcus Stoinis (All-Rounder) - Australia's 29-year-old all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is a replacement of Quinton de Kock who will now play for Mumbai Indians. Stoinis who played for Kings XI Punjab last year can be a wise pick as he can score quickly and can provide breakthroughs with his slow pace deliveries. His cool calm nature under pressure also makes him the player to watch out for in an upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.## A statical view at his IPL career (Batting)## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 7 7 99 29* 0 0 130.26 Overall 19 15 262 52 0 1 125.96 ## Bowling## YearMatchesInningsWicketsBBI5-WicketsEcon 2018 7 6 3 - 0 10.90 Overall 19 18 13 4/15 0 9.53 ## 2. Shivam Dubey (All-Rounder) - Shivam Dubey is an all-rounder from Mumbai who was grabbed by Royal Challengers Bangalore in INR 5 Crore. He was on song in the recently concluded Ranji Trophy for Mumbai. During a match of the Ranji Trophy, he hit five sixes in an over and showed his ability to hit the ball hard. It is going to be a great experience for him as he will share a dressing room with two of the greatest batsmen Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.## A statical view at his IPL career (Batting)## FormatMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. Yuzvendra Chahal (Bowler) - On slowish wicket of M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, spinners role will be key for RCB. Yuzvendra Chahal's along with Washington Sundar will have the responsibility to keep the run-rate down and provide breakthroughs in the middle overs which has been RCB's one of the biggest concerns.## A statical view at his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsWicketsBBI5-WicketsEcon 2018 14 14 12 - 0 7.26 Overall 70 69 82 4/25 0 7.77 ## 4. Umesh Yadav (Bowler) - Umesh Yadav was brilliant with the new ball last year and RCB will want from him repeat that kind of bowling this year as well. Surprisingly, last year the, the Bangluru pitch offers support to the pacers and Umesh Yadav took most of that who has the ability to swing the ball both ways. RCB will be hoping that kind of pitches to boost their chances.## A statical view at his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsWicketsBBI5-WicketsEcon 2018 14 14 20 - 0 7.86 Overall 108 107 111 4/24 0 8.32 ## 5. CSK - 5 Players To Watch Out For In IPL 2019

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has been one of the most consistent teams of the Indian Premier League over the 9 of 11 IPL seasons and probably are the most favorite to win its 12th edition if odds aren't derived. CSK has been the mixture of youth and experience that make them one of the most invincible teams of the biggest T20 tournament.## CSK with Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, and Suresh Raina have one of the best and lethal top orders in IPL. With MS Dhoni's presence in the middle order along with Ambati Rayudu and Kedar Jadhav make CSK one of the most balanced sides who have the all-rounders like Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo. Bowling has always been looked weakness of CSK on paper but there is something about MS Dhoni who brings out the best of an ordinary bowler.## CSK have participated in 9 out of 11 seasons and have reached in the final for 7 times of which they have won 3 times. They couldn't take part in 2016, and 2017 season due to ban. But they return in grand style to win the title for the 3rd time in 2018. However, there are five players who can win CSK their 4th title and will be the key for the men in yellow for the upcoming addition.## Here is the list of 5 players to watch out for in IPL 2019 (CSK):## 1. Shane Watson (All-Rounder) - Shane Watson was probably the biggest star for CSK's fairy-tale title triumph last year. With 555 runs in 15 innings, he was CSK's second highest run scorer after Ambati Rayudu. With his vast experience of playing in the IPL, he will be one to watch out for in the 12th season of Indian Premier League.## A statical view at his IPL career (Batting)## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 15 15 555 117* 2 2 154.59 Overall 117 113 3,177 117* 4 16 141.20 ## Bowling## YearMatchesInningsWicketsBBI5-WicketsEcon 2018 15 11 6 - 0 8.96 Overall 117 105 92 4/29 0 7.93 ## 2. Suresh Raina (Batsman) - Suresh Raina with average 400 runs in every season is probably the most consistent batsman ever in Indian Premier League history. He has been always been the backbone of Chennai Super Kings and has played an important role in all three CSK's title triumph. Though the chances are very thin this tournament could be the turning point for his international career as he is currently out of the Indian team.## A statical view at his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 15 15 445 75* 0 4 132.44 Overall 176 172 4,985 117* 1 35 138.43 ## 3. MS Dhoni (Wk-Batsman) - With world cup just around the corner, MS Dhoni's form will be the key for India's hope of winning the cup. Dhoni has been playing well but his ability to score quickly in the last overs somehow has gone. He hasn't been able to finish the game. However, since Australia tour last year, he is slowly getting back into that rhythm and hence, this tournament is going to be vital for his own confidence.## A statical view at his IPL career## YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 16 15 455 79* 0 3 150.66 Overall 175 158 4,016 79* 0 20 138.20 ## 4. Dwayne Bravo (ALL-Rounder) - Dwayne Bravo has been one of the most consistent players for CSK. He can be lethal with the bat and equally effective with the ball, especially in death overs. In a match last year against Mumbai Indians, he smashed 25-ball fifty and gave his side a win which at one stage was looking almost impossible. He has been MS Dhoni's one of the most trustworthy foreign players and will have shown that trust again if CSK eying 4th title win.## A statical view at his IPL career (Batting)#### YearMatchesInningsRunsH.S.10050S.R. 2018 16 10 141 68 0 1 154.94 Overall 122 93 1,403 70 0 5 128.72 ## Bowling## YearMatchesInningsWicketsBBI5-WicketsEcon 2018 16 16 14 - 0 9.96 Overall 122 119 136 4/22 0 8.44 ## 5. Trent Boult's one-handed stunner## Fielding has been one of the best parts in this season where some brilliant catches were taken. But we find Trent Boult who took a one-handed catch at the deep square leg boundary to send Virat Kohli back. It was hard to believe how did he manage to hold it. He was standing so near to boundary line and almost touched it.## #4. CSK's fairytale comeback## Chennai Super Kings return to IPL after two years of the ban. It was an emotional moment for the everyone as IPL's most loved franchise was making his comeback. They start their campaign with a stunning win against MI in Mumbai and later they won the title at the same venue after beating SRH in final.## #3. Kane Williamson's captaincy## Kane Williamson has been very impressed with his captaincy in absence of David Warner. It was only his captaincy which won the match against KKR in the second qualifier where he trapped Andre Russell in mind game. He also scored 735 runs (most by any) and led his team through to the final. However, they had lost it against CSK.## #2. Shane Watson's 117* in final## Shane Watson's form has been one of the highlights of this season. His knock of 117* off 57 balls in final shows his class where he single-handedly took the match away from SRH. He also scored 555 runs in 15 matches he played.## #1. Rashid Khan's 34* & 3/19 in second qualifier## Rashid Khan was one of the most valuable players in this IPL. Champions are back to where they belong

It has been a roller coaster journey for Chennai Super Kings. Coming back after two years of the ban and win the title, tells their story. From the match one, they looked a champion side. They found a different hero in every different match which makes them a true champion side. There will be no exaggeration to say that Champions are back to where they belong.## CSK was playing its 7th Indian Premier League final in nine seasons they have played. In previous six attempts, they came out as victorious on two occasions.## Here is the reaction of CSK players after the title triumph:## "Very amazing. It's been a roller coaster of emotions. Good to come away with a win and lucky to be part of an IPL winning side. Not many people get to experience such a moment. It's lovely to have the death bowling responsibility on your shoulders and take it in your stride, one ball at a time in a pressure situation and it is great to help the team win." - Lungi Ngidi## "It has been good. This is a special moment. The team did not play together for the last two years. We had to move from Chennai after one game. For most of the guys, this is their first time. We were able to keep focus and do it. Nothing is better than winning finals. We always said the experience will help in crunch times. Watson batted on one leg and despite the hamstring, his experience helped him. Watson is a world-class player." - Dwayne Bravo## "I was really fortunate to have such a season for Chennai. I worked really hard for it and am glad that I could hit the winning runs. Initially, the wicket looked a little slow, it was damp, got much quicker and I am glad we could chase it down." - Ambati Rayudu## "It is great. Last year I was part of final, but couldn't win it. But this year we won it and it is incredible. I am feeling at top of the world. I think I had the last game in my mind, had to bowl well in the death. More often than not you get hit in this format. Today I was on top of my game and executed the plans." - Shardul Thakur## "I enjoyed bowling with the new ball. I have been waiting for my chance and this year I got my chance. Thanks to Mahi bhai for believing in me; batting, bowling and fielding. It is everyone's dream to play in the IPL and win it, one of my dreams have come true." - Deepak Chahar## "Brilliant the way we came out and chased it down. To see what Watson, what he brings to the table, you know how many runs you might get, it is always changeable. Fourth IPL title for me and I am glad. I mean considering that Kane was in good form and they had a lot of middle-order batsmen who were right-handers, Dhoni was right that he needed someone who would take the ball away from the batsman. We have seen wrist spinners bowling more and more overs in the IPL compared to finger spinners. But I hope it would change next year. Well done to Karn and glad to be on the winning side." - Harbhajan Singh## "Each year has been different for us. We stayed pretty consistent with the core of our team when others kept chopping and changing. It's one thing that players are older, but it's the professionalism that we got to look into as well. MS Dhoni handles me (smiles). It's about man-management. When he goes on the field he can do the things. There's a lot of trusts as well and it's a nice relationship to have with him." - Stephen Fleming## "It's been a special season, to be honest. To get a special season especially after the last season with RCB. It means a lot to be with a franchise like CSK. After those first ten balls, I was only hoping to catch up to at least a run-a-ball. Bhuvi is really good with the new ball and was lucky to get the opportunity to catch up. It was good that I got a couple of boundaries to hit and get on par to take it from there. The good thing is that I wouldn't be playing for the next three-four months; feels great. It gives me plenty of time to recover. Throughout the back end of the tournament I was hanging on for dear life, Stephen Fleming and MS Dhoni have been looking after me really well and I am really glad to contribute like I did tonight." - Shane Watson## "By the team you reach the finals everybody knows their roles. The fielders have to adjust their roles while fielding, but while batting the styles are well known. So if somebody is finding it difficult in the middle, you know the incoming batsmen wouldn't find it easy as well. [On Bravo sitting with pads on] He keeps doing it on his own. There was no plan as such; with Faf playing Rayudu had to come down at four. But Bravo is someone who pads quite easily and stays ready. Very difficult to recall what the earlier championship wins were. A lot of people talk about stats , so tonight is 27th, my jersey number is seven and this is the seventh final for us. Enough reasons to win it. But none of these reasons matter, what matters is that we've won it in the end. We talked a lot about age but what matters is the fitness. Rayudu for example is 33, he's someone who is fit, covers a lot of ground. Even if he plays a few games where he spends a lot of time in the ground and in the field, he never complains. So it is the fitness that really matters more than the age aspect. What captains want is players who move well in the field. It doesn't matter which year a player is born in, whether you are 19 or 20 - you have to be agile. You have to accept your shortcomings. For example if I push Watson to stop a single, there is a very good chance that he'll burst his hamstring and won't be available for the next game. So what you tell yourselves is that they have to commit and try, but there's no point getting injured for a single. No plans to celebrate as of now. We are going to Chennai tomorrow, meet a few people, the fans and some people who are close to the franchise. But we'll have a get-together in the hotel and celebrate." - MS Dhoni## Thanks for the reading.

Watson special help CSK to win the 3rd IPL title

Chennai Super Kings made a fairy-tale comeback to win their 3rd IPL title after they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Sunday (May 27). It proved to be a one-sided affair in the end as CSK comfortably won the match with 9 balls to the spare in reply of 179. Thanks to Shane Watson's second hundred in this IPL.## As it happened## In this final, it was Chennai Super Kings who won the toss and opted to field first. Sunrisers Hyderabad lost Shreevats Goswami early. After that Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson took charge and put on a 51-run stand off 40 balls before Ravindra Jadeja bowled out Dhawan. He scored 26 off 25 balls. However, Kane Williamson was going strong and scored 47 off 36 balls. After the wicket of Williamson, Yusuf Pathan took responsibility on his own shoulder and scored a quick-fire 45* off 25 balls. He added 34 runs with Carlos Brathwaite (21 off 11) and lifted SRH to 178 after 20 overs. It was good to defend in final.## In reply of 179, it was one man show. Despite losing Faf du Plessis(10) on 16, CSK never looks in any sort of trouble. Shane Watson and Suresh Raina took the game completely away from SRH by putting a match-winning partnership of 117 off 57 balls. However, Raina could only contribute 32 off 24 balls. Later, Watson and Ambati Rayudu added 48 runs together for the 3rd wicket and help CSK to win their 3rd IPL title in seven attempts. In this process, Watson scored his 4th IPL century (2nd of this season).## Williamson continued his purple patch## Going into this match, skipper Kane Williamson had a huge responsibility on his shoulders. Not only as a captain but as a batsman. However, he didn't disappoint with his performance. After the first wicket, he ensured that SRH reaches to a good total. Firstly, he put on a solid partnership with Dhawan and later, he added quick 37 off 22 balls with Shakib Al Hasan. Before he got out, SRH had already reached to 101 in 12 overs.## Shakib Al Hasan 23 off 15, Yusuf Pathan's quickfire 45* off 25 balls and Carlos Brathwaite's cameo of 21 off 10 balls ensured that SRH put on a good total of 178 to defend.## Shane Watson's one-man show dismiss SRH's challenge## At the halfway stage, 178 was looking very good to defend especially after the bowling SRH had. But once the chase began, SRH looked ordinary against Shane Watson. However, he took his time to get set and scored his first run after 10 balls. But once he got set, he took SRH's bowlers all around the park. His assault came hard on Sandeep Sharma who conceded 52 runs in his 4 overs including a 27-run over. Watson was very careful against Rashid Khan and Bhuvneshawar Kumar. His partnership with Raina ensured that CSK didn't score much in last overs.## After losing Raina, SRH might sense a comeback but Rayudu didn't allow them to bounce back in this game. He made only 16* off 19 balls but put on match-winning partnership off 48* with Watson. Watson remained unbeaten on 117 off 57 balls including 11 fours and 8 sixes and awarded Man Of The Match## An ordinary night for SRH bowlers## It was one of those days when SRH's bowlers failed to make an impact. Their premier bowlers, however, didn't concede too many runs but going wicketless didn't help SRH cause. Sandeep Sharma had a forgettable match as he gave away 52 runs in his 4 overs and picked 1 wicket. Siddarth Kaul also had a bad night as he conceded 43 runs in just 3 overs.## For more updates and news, stay tuned to us.## Thanks for reading.

Nitish Rana also joined the party with Lynn and hit 2 sixes to Khaleel Ahmad, who was playing his first match of the IPL 2018. Both took KKR to 87 before Nitish Rana got run out after scoring 22 off 16 balls.## Rashid, Shakib scripts KKR's middle order collapsed## KKR's middle order completely demolished by Rashid and Shakib. First Uthappa, who tried to reverse sweep against Rashid but missed out completely as the ball hit to the stumps. Skipper Karthik this time could not anything for his team as he was bowled out by Shakib in trying to cut the ball. Two balls later Rashid grabbed big fish as Lynn got out LBW. He made 48 off 36 balls.## Now, Andre Russell remained the only hope for KKR but he was caught out in slip by Shikhar Dhawan off Rashid Khan. With the wicket of Russell, KKR almost had lost the match.## Gill kept KKR in the hunt but SRH came out on top## When KKR lost all their hopes of winning this game, Shubhman Gill kept them in the race till the last over.
