Tiger Shroff Finalises His Next Two Films With Top Producers After Sajid Nadiadwala's Baaghi 4

Mumbai, July 31 - Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff is slowly coming back in the game and is lining up multiple films after the release of the upcoming action thriller Baaghi 4. Directed by Harsha and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film is scheduled to release on September 5 this year. ## After Baaghi 4, Tiger Shroff has reportedly locked, at least two films. According to the report by Pinkvilla, the Heropanti star has signed on for an exciting high-concept action film with producer Murad Khetani. The movie in question will mark the directorial debut of Avane Srimannaryana director Sachin Ravi. ## It is said that Tiger has been on the lookout for a new format of action, and when producer Murad Khetani and director Sachin Ravi approached him with a film that pushes the boundaries of action in a new direction, the actor was bowled over by the vision for telling this intriguing story and went ahead to allot dates to the film on priority. ## The pre-production work has already begun, and the makers are aiming to take the film on the floors by October this year with a 45-day schedule. The dialogues of this yet untitled high-concept action thriller are being written by Sumit Arora (Jawan and Border 2), and the film will hit the big screen in 2026. ## Apart from the film with Murad Khetani Production, Tiger also has a film with producer Karan Johar. The movie, titled Lag Ja Gale, will be directed by Raj Mehta. The revenge-based actioner features Tiger with Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya Lalwani in leading roles, and is scheduled to go on floors in November this year. ## Stay tuned...

Director AR Murugadoss Gives a Weird Reason For The Box Office Failure of Salman Khan-fronted Sikandar

Mumbai, July 31 - Tamil director AR Murugadoss returned to Hindi cinema after 9 years with superstar Salman Khan-fronted action drama Sikandar. However, the filmmaker's grand return didn't bring desired results as the film flopped at the box office, finishing under 200 crores gross collection worldwide. ## The film was panned by critics and audiences alike, and now, Murugadoss has come up with a weird and unwanted reason to justify the failure of the movie. During the promotion of his upcoming film Madharaasi, the filmmaker spoke about Sikandar and said that it failed due to the language barrier. ## He revealed that working on Sikandar felt like being at a disadvantage, as he described it as feeling "handicapped" on set due to his inability to understand Hindi fluently, saying he often didn't understand what was happening around him. ## "When we make films in our mother tongue, it gives us strength. We know what is happening here. Today, there's a trend going and suddenly the audience gets connected with that trend. When we shift language, we don't know what the youngsters are enjoying in that language. All we need is a script to believe it", he said. ## He further explained, "For once, I can take up Telugu films, but Hindi may not work for us because after we write the script, they translate it into English. Then it is again translated into Hindi. We can only guess what they are saying, but we are not exactly sure about what is happening. When you make a film in an unknown language and place, it feels like you are handicapped. It is like you don't have hands. I strongly believe our strength depends on where and which culture we come from". ## It is weird that Murugadoss has come up with this silly reason of not understanding Hindi. Before Sikandar, the director previously helmed three Hindi films, and two of them (Ghajini and Holiday) became blockbusters. It proves that his language excuse doesn't fully hold up — it's more about how prepared and empowered a filmmaker feels in a new environment. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, July 30 - Yash Raj Films’ romantic drama Saiyaara has unlocked another box office milestone by emerging as the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2025 in the international market. Starring debutantes Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda, the film has achieved this milestone in just 12 days since its release. ## As of its second Tuesday, Saiyaara has grossed approximately 94 crores overseas, overtaking the lifetime international collections of Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna's historical action drama Chhaava, which stood at 91 crores. Mahavatar Narsimha Is Unstoppable At The Box Office: Scores +20% Jump On Day 5

Mumbai, July 30 - Kaleem Productions and Hombale Films' epic animated action drama Mahavatar Narishma is unstoppable at the box office. Directed by Ashwin Kumar, it has already become the highest-grossing animated Indian film of all time, beating 2005's Hanuman. ## After the very good opening weekend collection of 19 crores gross, followed by excellent hold on Monday, Mahavatar Narsimha jumped further on discounted Tuesday. With +20% growth, the film grossed approximately 9+ crores on its first Tuesday, and it was the second biggest grosser for the day in India. ## The total collection of Mahavatar Narsimha is approximately 35.25 crores gross (29.50 crores net) after 5 days, and it is heading towards 50 crores gross first week collection at the domestic box office, which is a massive milestone for the film, as no one saw it coming for the release date. ## Hindi Version Leads The Way, Followed By Telugu ## The Hindi version has been the major driving force behind the film's success. After collecting around 15.40 crore net (18.50 crore gross) over the first four days, the movie scored an estimated 5.50 crore net (6.50 crore gross) on Tuesday. This pushes the Hindi version's total to 20.50+ crore net and over 24.50 crore gross in 5 days. Telugu version, on the other hand, has also done well and collected approximately 8.75 crores gross (7.50 crores net) in the five days, while other versions minted around 1.25 crores so far. ## For the second day in a row, Mahavatar Narsimha has beaten superstar Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which was released a day earlier. HHVM is much bigger in scale and budget than Mahavatar Narsimha, which boasts of super positive word of mouth, rapidly growing among the audience. ## About Mahavatar Narsimha ## The film's high-quality animation, thematic depth, and spiritual undertones appear to have resonated with family audiences and devotees alike. It retells the iconic story of Prahlad Maharaj, a young devotee of Lord Vishnu, whose unwavering faith ultimately led to the manifestation of the powerful Narasimha avatar of Lord Vishnu to defeat demon Hiranyakashyap.## Stay tuned...

Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR's War 2 Dominates Rajinikanth's Coolie in Theatrical Runtime, as YRF's Production Set to be the Longest Film in Spy Universe, beating Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai

Mumbai, July 30 - Ahead of the mega box office clash this Independence Day weekend, the theatrical runtimes for two of the biggest upcoming Indian films — YRF Spy Universe's War 2 and Rajinikanth-fronted Coolie — have reportedly been revealed, and the comparison is already making waves. ## The Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani-starrer War 2 has reportedly been censored with a U/A certificate with an approved runtime of 2 hours and 53 minutes (173 minutes). War 2's runtime has beaten Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai (162 minutes) to become the longest film in the YRF Spy Universe. ## Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the sequel is expected to be a high-octane cinematic experience that delves deeper into the emotional and espionage layers of the YRF Spy Universe. It also stars Kiara Advani alongside Anil Kapoor and others in key roles. ## On the other hand, Rajinikanth's Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is not far behind War 2 as it is reported to have a runtime of approximately 170 minutes (2 hours and 50 minutes). It received an A certificate from the CBFC, which makes it the first A-rated title for director Lokesh Kanagaraj. ## While slightly shorter, Coolie is expected to be packed with stylised action, Lokesh's signature dark world-building, and Rajinikanth's unmatched screen presence — ensuring no moment goes to waste. Coolie's tighter length could point to a sleek, relentless pace in keeping with Lokesh's successful formula from Vikram and Kaithi. ## With War 2 taking the lead in terms of runtime, fans are speculating whether this extra duration allows for deeper storytelling or more explosive action set-pieces involving two of Indian cinema's biggest stars — Hrithik and Jr. NTR. ## Both films are set for massive theatrical releases on August 14 and are among the most anticipated Indian movies globally. Whether audiences prefer the grandeur of a nearly three-hour spy saga or the tight punch of a gritty action drama, only time will tell which runtime delivers the bigger impact at the box office. ## Stay tuned...

Saiyaara Vs Kabir Singh: Ahaan Pandey, Aneet Padda-starrer Beats Shahid Kapoor, Kiara Advani's Blockbuster To Become Highest-Grossing Indian Love Story

Mumbai, July 29 - Yash Raj Films' Saiyaara has officially become the highest-grossing Indian romantic drama film of all time, beating Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani-fronted Kabir Singh in just 11 days, while also crossing the 400 crores gross worldwide today. ## Starring debutante Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda, the modern-day love story has grossed approximately 394 crores at the worldwide box office through the second Monday (11 days), surpassing Kabir Singh's lifetime worldwide grosses of 377 crores, to emerge as the number 1 Indian love story. ## Saiyaara has been on a record-breaking run ever since the day it was released (July 18). It scored the biggest opening for a romantic as well as for a debutante, followed by the biggest opening weekend, and then opening weekend. Not only has it become the highest-grossing love story, but also emerged as the biggest grosser for a debutante. ## The latest blockbuster is miles ahead of Kabir Singh in like-for-like days. Kabir Singh, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, had managed an excellent 251 crore globally in its first 11 days — a figure that Saiyaara has surpassed by a staggering 143 crore in the same timeframe. This phenomenal lead underscores the magnitude of the new film’s box office dominance. ## With momentum fully on its side, the Mohit Suri's directorial is now on track to enter the coveted 500 crore club — potentially by the end of its second weekend. The film's storytelling, youthful vibe, soulful music, and wide family appeal have proven to be a winning formula, resulting in packed theatres and euphoric word-of-mouth across all demographics. ## Stay tuned...

Aamir Khan Announces Paid YouTube Streaming Release Date of His Box Office Hit Sitaare Zameen Par

Mumbai, July 29 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is shaking up the Indian film distribution landscape with a historical move for his box office hit Sitaare Zameen Par. Although Aamir had already shared his plans regarding the future of his films, today, he confirmed the same. ## On Tuesday (July 29), the Dangal star announced that Sitaare Zameen Par will be released exclusively on YouTube Movies-on-Demand starting August 1. It will be available for rent at ₹100 ($1.15) in India and 38 international markets, including the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, Germany, and Indonesia, with localised pricing for each territory. ## Aamir Khan told Variety that his long dream has been to make films available to almost every household in the country, as the people who watch movies in theatres are only 2-3% of the total population. He believes that subscription models are not economically viable for films to do that, not over a long-term period, hence he is favouring YouTube's pay-per-view model. ## This is a major move regarding the film's post-theatrical distribution, which could make streaming platforms uncomfortable. To take this approach, Aamir Khan reportedly rejected the offer of 120 crores from a leading streaming platform to sell the post-theatrical rights. ## Aamir Khan said, "If a family of four sits and watches the film, then it comes to ₹25 per head, which I think is a value that works not just for the audiences, but also allows filmmakers to earn so they can make better content."## Directed by RS Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan Films, Sitaare Zameen Par is a spiritual successor to Khan's 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, and also stars Genelia Deshmukh. It is an official remake of the 2018 Spanish film Champions, and follows a suspended basketball coach who must serve community service by helping a team of players with disabilities prepare for a tournament. ## Released on June 20, SZP has been a box office hit with the worldwide collection of around 270 crores gross. In India, the movie has made over 200 crores gross, while overseas collection is around 67 crores. The movie, meanwhile, will be available for pay-per-view streaming on YouTube after just 6 weeks of theatrical run. ## Stay tuned...

Akshay Kumar Opens Up About Playing An Antagonist In Director Priyadarshan's Upcoming Film 'Haiwaan', Co-starring Saif Ali Khan

Mumbai, July 28 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is on a roll with back-to-back films. He has already released three films so far, and there is one more, Jolly LLB 3, scheduled to hit the big screens this year. The actor has multiple films in the pipeline, including the talk of the town, Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan and co-starring Saif Ali Khan. ## Akshay will be portraying the negative role of a ruthless, cold-blooded killer against Saif Ali Khan, who plays a blind man in this crime thriller, after many years. The actor, known for his versatility across action, comedy, and socially conscious films, revealed during an interview with Hindustan Times that Haiwaan completes what he jokingly refers to as his "unintentional trilogy" after Insaan and Jaanwar. ## The upcoming film marks a long-awaited reunion between Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan after 17 years. The reunion is creating quite a buzz in the industry, especially with Priyadarshan helming the project. The director-actor trio — Akshay, Saif, and Priyadarshan — has fans anticipating a gripping blend of action and drama. While it is unconfirmed, reports say that Haiwaan is the remake of Priyadarshan's Oppam, but with a darker, high-octane twist suited to Hindi cinema audiences. ## Interestingly, Akshay Kumar's role as the antagonist is a departure from his usual image, and he seems eager to embrace this change. In the interview, he emphasised that playing a villain offers him the creative challenge he's been looking for. "It's not just about being bad for the sake of it. There's a layered complexity to this character that I'm really excited to explore," he said. His fans, too, are looking forward to seeing him step into a villain avatar — a rarity in his recent filmography. ## Akshay humorously pointed out the difference in the comedic styles of his and Sai Ali Khan, saying, “Saif’s humour is very 'SoBo' (South Bombay), while mine is more Andheri and Borivali." The camaraderie between the two actors is also expected to be one of the film’s highlights. This difference, he believes, will make their on-set dynamic both fun and engaging. ## The shoot of Haiwaan will begin on August 23 in Cochin, with a theatrical release planned for 2026. ## Stay tuned...

This brings the total domestic opening weekend to around 19 crore gross (approx. 15.50 crore net) — an excellent number for an animated feature in India. ## Hindi Version Leads the Way, Followed by Telugu ## The Hindi version has been the major driving force behind the film's success. After collecting around 4.50 crore net (5.50 crore gross) over the first two days, the movie scored an estimated 6.75–7 crore net (~8 crore gross) on Sunday. ## This pushes the Hindi version's weekend total to 11+ crore net and over 13.50 crore gross. Telugu version, on the other hand, has also done well and collected approximately 4.50 crores gross (3.85 crores net) in the first weekend. Other versions minted around 75 lakh. ## A New Benchmark for Indian Animation ## With its strong numbers, Mahavatar Narsimha has overtaken Hanuman (2005), which had earned an estimated 5.50 crore net (unadjusted for inflation). The film is now officially the highest-grossing Indian animated blockbuster and has redefined commercial possibilities for animated features in the country. ## Exhibitors are increasing the number of shows across the country to meet soaring demand, especially in urban centres and Hindi-speaking regions. With no major animated competitor in sight and strong word of mouth, Mahavatar Narsimha is poised for a solid theatrical run. ## Stay tuned...
