Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu' To Get Day And Date Release In Hindi, Title Revealed

Mumbai, November 29 - The highly-awaited Tamil action drama film Varisu, starring Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna is getting ready to release in theaters on Pongal 2023. The movie was announced to release simultaneously in Telugu as Vaarasudu. ## Now, according to the latest confirmed reports, the Vamshi Paidipally directorial will also get a Hindi release. It is said that the T-Series, which already has musical rights to it, has acquired the Hindi distribution rights of the movie in association with Sri Venkateswara Creations and Manish Shah. ## The title of the movie in Hindi is reportedly Vaaris and the Hindi version will have a day and date release with Tamil and Telugu versions on January 12, 2023. The movie is likely to get a good release in Hindi as there is no big new Hindi film at that time, as of now. ## "Varisu" will be up against Thala Ajith's "Thunivu" at the box office and both movies are expected to take flying starts at the Tamil Nadu box office. Mumbai, November 29 - A few weeks ago, it was reported that Tiger Shroff would be teaming up with "Mission Mangal" director Jagan Shakti for an action thriller film, to be produced by Pooja Entertainment. While the official announcement is yet to be made, the pre-production work was already started back then. ## Now, according to the latest reports, the makers have roped in Sara Ali Khan to play the female lead opposite Tiger. It is said that the makers wanted to bring a fresh pair for the movie and decided to pick Sara Ali Khan to do the job for them. It will be Sara's first time pairing with Tiger in a feature film. ## The yet-untitled movie is expected to go on floors in early December this year. It will be shot in India and Europe. 'Avatar: The Way of Water' Advance Booking Off To Very Good Start In India

Mumbai, November 29 - James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water is the next big thing as far as the worldwide box office is concerned. Coming 13 years after the first "Avatar" movie, released in 2009, "Avatar 2" is one of the most-anticipated films in India and the same can be seen in the advance sales. ## The advance booking of this sci-fi epic was opened nearly a week ago in India in premium formats in limited theaters. The full-fledged advance is yet to open, but the response to the limited opening is excellent despite the ticket prices being as high as 2000 per ticket in some locations. ## The English 3D format has so far sold approx. 1.06 lakh tickets in India, while the English IMAX 3D format has sold around 14K tickets, the 4DX 3D format has sold approx. 6K tickets and Hindi 3D has managed to sell around 18.5K tickets so far. The total number of tickets for the opening day sold so far is around 1.90 lakh in all properties, worth approx. 7 crores. ## "Avatar 2" is scheduled to release on December 16, so there are still 17 days left. The response in advance sales to the movie is already very good and once the full-fledged advance opens, it is expected to get bumper numbers before exploding at the box office. The sequel is on track to finish over 300 crores in its lifetime run.## Produced by Panorama Studios, Viacom18, and T-Series, "Drishyam 2" is a remake of Mohanlal's Malayalam blockbuster of the same name and a sequel to Ajay's 2015 movie, which itself was a huge hit. Hyderabad, November 27 - Adivi Sesh's crime thriller Hit: The Second Case, which is the sequel to 2020's "Hit" movie, is one week away from its release in theaters. The trailer of the movie was recently launched and it received an anonymously positive response from the audience. ## Adivi Sesh's box office market has widened since after his last film Major, which was a big blockbuster. The makers have high expectations from his upcoming movie, and hence, the pre-release business of the movie is locked in a record price for Sesh. ## According to Telugu media reports, the theatrical rights of the movie in Telugu states have been sold in approx. 15 crores while the rest of India and overseas rights have been valued at approx. 3 crores. Los Angeles, November 26 - The long-awaited sequel to James Cameron's "Avatar" - Avatar: The Way of Water is set for more than the double opening of the first film at the domestic (North America) box office. ## According to The Hollywood Reporter, the sci-fi epic is tracking at least $150 million - $170 million in the opening weekend in North America. These are conservative estimates and may go higher. The first "Avatar" movie, released in 2009, opened to $77 million and later enjoyed extraordinary legs to project a $785 million lifetime total (re-release included).## One of the reasons for the conservative opening weekend projections of "Avatar: The Way of Water" is that it is 30 minutes longer than the first movie with a runtime of 3 hours and 10 minutes, meaning the sequel will have fewer showtimes per day.## "Avatar 2" is not the only Hollywood movie with longer runtime.
