IPL 2020 Schedule Will Be Out On September 6

The schedule of the upcoming season of the Dream 11 Indian Premier League will be released on September 6 (Sunday), as per the latest reports. ## Earlier, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly had said that the much-awaited schedule for the IPL 2020 should be released by Friday which, of course, couldn't happen. ## However, as per the latest reports, the BCCI will release the fixtures of IPL 2020, which has been moved out of India to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to the coronavirus pandemic, on Sunday.## "Schedule of IPL 2020 that starts from 19th September in UAE will be released tomorrow (September 6)", says IPL chairman Brijesh Patel as reported by ANI.## If reports are to be believed, the opening match still will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians which was originally scheduled. It was earlier reported that any of the teams other than CSK, will be against MI on September 19, due to CSK staff along with two players tested positive for the coronavirus. ## Meanwhile, all the teams have started training with three-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) being the latest to hit the nets. It's a different and exciting format and something that I have not attempted so far", he said.## "There are several ideas and stories that cannot fit into a feature film or OTT web show format but still, these stories need to be told, and today the format of the short film is available. It is a very exciting format, exciting content, and exciting way of narrating a story", the filmmaker added. ## The filmmaker who is known for helming movies like Namastey London, Aankhen, Singh Is Kinng, Commando series, and a few more will largely work with the new talented writers for the short films. He stated that it is excited to work with the young talent who he feels are way ahead of their time. ## He further stated that these new writers are amazing, well prepared, and very well knowledgeable about the work they do which makes anyone want to work with them. I would always touch her feet and still do whenever I get a chance to meet her, but she would never let me finish my namaskar and would hug me", she said.## "I share a special bond with Ms. Bose and she is one of my most special teachers. I remember that when we were finishing class XII, we had our candlelight ceremony and everyone was quite emotional. Coming as a big development in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik Chakraborty and Sushant Singh Rajput's house manager, Samuel Miranda on Friday, September 4. ## According to NCB officials, the duo was arrested after 10 hours of questioning and after the agency got adequate evidence against them about their involvement in the drug case.## Earlier in the day, the NCB also carried out a raid at the residences of Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda. The department also seized Showik's laptop and mobile phone.## The NCB had also told a court that Showik used to order ganja and marijuana at the behest of her sister Rhea from drug-peddler Abdul Basit Parihar, who has been arrested and made payments to him over Google Pay.## Showik and Miranda will be produced before a court on Saturday. The Producers Guild of India, on Friday (September 4), has penned an open letter regarding the attacks on the reputation of the Indian film industry across all media. Since the last few months after Sushant Singh Rajput's death, there have been many reports in the media that targeted the film industry in the names of nepotism, movie mafia, drug mafia, etc. ## "The tragic death of a promising young star has been used by some as a tool to defame and slander the film industry and its members. A picture has been painted of the industry a terrible place for the outsiders to aspire to; a place that threatens those who dare to enter it with contempt and derision; a murky den of substance abuse and criminality. This narrative is salacious enough for the media to exploit to great effect in order to boost its ratings, readership and page views", the letter read. ## "But it is not the truth", the letter further stated. "Like any other sector, there is no doubt that the film industry has its imperfections, and there must always be an ongoing attempt by any industry to improve upon itself, learn and evolve while weeding out unsavory elements or improper practices that hold it back. But to paint an entire industry with the same brush is a gross misrepresentation of reality". ## While this film industry has its failure to some extent, there is another undeniable expect is that it is one of the largest industries which provides thousands of jobs, boost travel and tourism, which plays an important part to boost an economy. Stating about the same, the letter further read -## "The film industry employs hundreds of thousands of people, boost travel and tourism, and is one of the most important sources of the soft power of India across the world. It has entertained hundreds of millions of people for over a century and has brought joy, honor, and glory to the nation. Former India player and veteran off-spinner, Harbhajan Singh has withdrawn his name for the Chennai Super Kings' squad and pulled out from the Indian Premier League 2020 stating the personal reasons. Harbhajan Singh has conveyed his decision to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Friday (September 4).## The 40-year old has become the second CSK player after Suresh Raina to decide to the tournament, citing personal reasons. However, Suresh Raina in a recent interview had hinted that he might return to play the IPL 2020 for CSK. He had returned home after traveling with the team to the UAE. ## Harbhajan Singh had remained in India. The development comes on the back of some positive news for the Chennai franchise. On Thursday night, all CSK players, barring the two earlier positive cases, had tested negative for coronavirus in a follow-up test that was conducted. The two infected players will undergo a COVID-19 test after completing a 14-day quarantine period. ## Last week, as many as 13 CSK members had tested positive for the coronavirus which forced the team to extend their quartine time for one more week till 31st August. Out of 13, Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad were the two players who tested positive for the virus. ## All other teams have started training for the 13th edition of the IPL except CSK.
