AEW's Double Or Nothing PPV: Keith Lee Vs. Swerve Strickland Match Planned
In the upcoming weeks, wrestling fans are buzzing with excitement over AEW's jam-packed schedule, including the Forbidden Door show with NJPW in June, All In at Wembley Stadium in August, and All Out in September. However, AEW's highly anticipated pay-per-view event, Double or Nothing, is just around the corner on May 28th, 2023, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, renowned wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer has reported that the current plan is to "hold off the first Keith Lee vs. Swerve Strickland match until the PPV." These two talented stars have been embroiled in a heated feud in recent months, triggered by losing the Tag Team Titles and Swerve's betrayal of Lee.
Based on recent angles showcased on AEW's flagship shows, Dynamite and Rampage, it seems that the promotion is building towards epic showdowns, including AEW World Heavyweight Champion MJF vs. Darby Allin vs. Jack Perry vs. Sammy Guevara, an eight-man tag team clash between the BCC and The Elite, Chris Jericho vs. Adam Cole, and AEW TBS Champion Jake Cargill vs. Taya Valkyrie.
As AEW fans eagerly anticipate the action-packed Double or Nothing event, the stage is set for high-stakes rivalries and electrifying matchups that are sure to leave wrestling enthusiasts on the edge of their seats.
