Brandi Rhodes Opens Up on AEW Departure, Hints at Disillusionment

Brandi Rhodes, former Chief Brand Officer of AEW, recently shed some light on her and Cody's surprising departure from the promotion in February 2022.

Speaking to Chris Vannini of The Athletic, Brandi alluded to a disconnect between AEW's current direction and the "original vision" she shared with the company's founders.



"What I feared with that company, I was seeing before my eyes," she stated, though refrained from elaborating on specifics. Her comments echo similar sentiments expressed by Cody, who previously cited a "personal issue" and Brandi's alleged unfair treatment as reasons for their exit.

Since leaving AEW, Brandi has maintained a low profile within the wrestling world. However, she will be present at the upcoming WrestleMania 40, where her husband Cody is slated for major matches.

Cody is scheduled for a dream tag team bout on night one, teaming with Seth Rollins against Roman Reigns and The Rock. Night two sees him take center stage in a championship clash, challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
