Austin Theory Becomes Longest-Reigning United States Champion Since Ambrose in 2013
Austin Theory has emerged as a prominent WWE star since his return to the main roster. He experienced a surge in his push, beginning with his successful tenure as the United States Champion and his triumph in capturing the coveted Money in the Bank briefcase. Furthermore, his alignment with Vince McMahon on television added to his growing popularity. However, a significant transformation in his character ensued following McMahon's departure and the creative control shifting to Triple H.
Theory encountered several on-screen obstacles, including a string of losses and a disappointing outcome when he attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank contract against Seth Rollins. Despite these challenges, Theory demonstrated resilience and managed to reclaim the United States Title at Survivor Series last November. In a thrilling triple threat match against Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins, he emerged victorious, commencing a reign that has now extended for a remarkable 221 days.

The pinnacle of Theory's career arrived earlier this year at WrestleMania 39, where he secured the most significant triumph of his tenure by defeating the legendary John Cena. This victory solidified Theory's status as a formidable force within the WWE.
Notably, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful highlighted that Theory's reign as the United States Champion is the lengthiest since Dean Ambrose's impressive reign a decade ago. Ambrose, now known as Jon Moxley, held the prestigious title for an astounding 351 days.
