Becky Lynch Comments On Mercedes Mone's Reported Contract With AEW

Becky Lynch, a top star in WWE, has spoken out about the importance of financial rewards for female wrestlers. Her comments come in the wake of Mercedes Mone's (formerly Sasha Banks) reported lucrative contract with AEW.

Lynch and Mone are both considered pioneers of the "Women's Evolution" in WWE. Lynch remains a mainstay in the company, while Mone recently made a high-profile debut for AEW, with rumors suggesting she'll be one of the highest-paid women wrestlers.



In an interview with the Orlando Sentinel, Lynch addressed Mone's reported contract: "I think that's an important part, getting paid equally for the equal work and the equal position we are at right now. Women's evolutions and revolutions are fine and well, but making sure they equate to contracts and financial reward for these things, when we are doing equal work, is hugely important."

This sentiment echoes Mone's own recent statement, where she declared being "all about that bag" and acknowledging the power of financial gain.

While WWE reportedly offered Mone a substantial deal, she ultimately chose a different path, potentially one with greater financial rewards.
