Box Office: 'Chhaava' Tops 500 Crore Gross Worldwide

Mumbai, February 26 - Maddock Films' historical action drama Chhaava climbs to new heights at the global box office, becoming the first Indian movie of 2025 to cross 500 crores gross collection. The film took only 12 days, one of the fastest Hindi language films to achieve the milestone.

Chhaava has grossed approximately 435 crores domestically and an estimated 75 crores overseas for around 510 worldwide gross total in 12 days. It is by far the biggest Indian grosser of the year, almost 2x of the second-best, Sankranthiki Vasthunam which grossed 250+ crores globally.



It is the highest-grossing historical epic at the Indian box office and will soon top Padmaavat to become the biggest Indian grosser globally in this genre. For Vicky Kaushal, Chhaava is his first 500 crores worldwide grosser, beating his previous highest grosser, URI: The Surgical Strike (342 crores).

Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who has been the poster girl of Indian cinemas lately, scored her third consecutive 500 crores grosser, after Pushpa 2 (1740+ crores) and Animal (915 crores gross). Akshaye Khanna and director Laxman Utekar also opened their accounts in this prestigious box office club.

The box office performance of Chhaava has underlined the growing popularity of Maddock Films' production. The studio has delivered two of the biggest Indian blockbusters in recent times in the form of Chhaava and Stree 2 along with superhit titles - Munjya and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. Going forward, Maddock has a blockbuster lineup with many potential blockbusters in the form of films in the horror-comedy universe and an epic Mahavatar with Vicky Kaushal.
