Box Office: Top 5 Biggest South Indian Grossers in The First Week In Hindi

Mumbai, July 12 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD, which was released on June 27, has had one of the biggest first-week collections in Hindi for a South Indian film. The sci-fi epic exceeded expectations to score over 160 crores net first week in the dubbed version.

Kannada superstar Yash-fronted action drama KGF: Chapter 2, directed by Prashanth Neel, remains the biggest first-week South Indian grosser and it is along with SS Rajamouli and Prabhas' Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion are the only two South Indian films to have 200+ crores net first week.

1. KGF: Chapter 2 - 268.63 crores

2. Baahubali 2 - 247 crores



3. Kalki 2898 AD - 162.50 crores

4. Robot 2.0 - 139.75 crores

KGF: Chapter 2 is the fifth biggest first-week grosser in the Hindi language, Pathaan, Jawan, Animal, and Gadar 2. Kalki 2898 AD is the 22nd biggest first-week scorer. It is also Prabhas' second movie in the top 3 biggest South Indian first-week earner after Baahubali 2.
