'Chhaava' Sells 10+ Million Tickets On Book My Show
Mumbai, March 3 - Vicky Kaushal's blockbuster Chhaava continues to merry the box office with the excellent collection. In 17 days so far, the historical action drama has grossed approximately 625 crores worldwide, including 548 crores gross in India.
Chhaava has sold 2.17+ crores of tickets at the box office in 17 days which is the highest for an Indian film of 2025 so far. Meanwhile, on the online ticketing platform, BookMyShow, the movie has crossed 10+ million (1+ crore) tickets, making it the first movie of the year to do so.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is already the highest-grossing film of the director along with actor Vicky Kaushal and Akshaye Khanna and the third biggest grosser for Rashmika Mandanna. It is heading towards finishing its run with over 500+ crores net in India and 700+ crores gross worldwide.
The movie, produced by Maddock Films, is based on the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire. It is an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant. Meanwhile, the film is gearing up for its Telugu release on March 7.
