Bollywood is gearing up for a massive four-way clash this Friday, June 12, with a diverse range of films hitting the big screens. The advance booking trends for these films are now coming in, and the ticket sales give us a fair idea of how they might perform on their opening day. Leading the pack in terms of both revenue and volume is Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past, directed by Vikram Bhatt. Serving as a sequel to the 2011 cult classic, the film brings back Mimoh Chakraborty in an atmospheric horror story. The movie has sold approximately 40,000 tickets across the country, resulting in an advance gross of roughly ₹71.4 Lakhs. Following is Imtiaz Ali's highly anticipated period drama, Main Vaapas Aaunga. With music by A.R. Rahman, the film explores a cross-generational love story heavily rooted in the nostalgia of the 1947 Partition. Produced on a budget of about ₹70 Crore, the film has sold roughly 21,000 tickets so far, bringing its advance gross to approximately ₹61 Lakhs. The multiplex performance looks solid, with PVR bringing in around ₹22.6 Lakhs and INOX adding about ₹12.1 Lakhs. Trade expectations suggest the film needs a strong opening day in the range of ₹5 to ₹7 Crore to maintain a healthy theatrical value.
Next up is Governor: The Silent Saviour, a biographical political drama directed by Chinmay D. Mandlekar. The plot revisits the 1990 Indian economic crisis, focusing on the events that saved the nation from bankruptcy. The makers utilized a distinct marketing strategy by offering the first 25,000 tickets at a retro rate of ₹50, which has certainly helped drive interest. So far, the film has sold about 22,000 tickets, resulting in an advance gross of roughly ₹56.3 Lakhs. In the national chains, PVR is leading with roughly ₹21 Lakhs, followed by INOX at approximately ₹9.9 Lakhs and Cinepolis at around ₹4.5 Lakhs.

Rounding off the clash is Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, a rescue thriller directed by Manoj Tapadia. The film features Kangana Ranaut as a brave nurse and uncovers untold chapters of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Ahead of its release, the film has managed to sell approximately 22,000 tickets, bringing its advance gross to about ₹54.3 Lakhs. The breakdown for major chains shows PVR at around ₹16.2 Lakhs, INOX at roughly ₹8.7 Lakhs, and Cinepolis adding about ₹4.1 Lakhs. As a film honoring unsung heroes, it adds a patriotic flavor to this weekend's competitive lineup.
With four mid-to-high budget films releasing on the same day, the audience's attention is clearly divided. While the horror genre is currently leading in terms of ticket volume, the directorial brands and star power across the other releases are expected to drive significant walk-in footfalls on Friday.
