Here is the list of the airport of the year awards.
According to Skytrax, Hamad International Airport of Qatar is the airport of the year in 2022 and is located in Doha Hamad International Airport was initially scheduled to open in 2008. Still, after a series of costly delays, the airport finally opened on 30 April 2014 with a ceremonial Qatar Airways flight landing from nearby Doha International.
Hamad International Airport became the first Middle Eastern airport to be awarded Skytrax's World Best Airport for 2021 in the 2021 World Airport Awards, ending the 7-year dominance of Singapore's Changi Airport.
