1. Bill Gates (1975–2000)

Bill Gates (born October 28, 1955) is an American business magnate, software developer, investor, author, and philanthropist. He is the co-founder of Microsoft along with his late childhood friend Paul Allen.



Gates became the chairman, chief executive officer (CEO), president, and chief software architect during his career at Microsoft. As of May 2014, he was also the largest individual shareholder. He was a key entrepreneur in the microcomputer revolution of the 1970s and 1980s.

2. Steve Ballmer (2000–2014)

Steven Anthony Ballmer (March 24, 1956) is an American business magnate and investor who served as the Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft from 2000 to 2014.



He is the current owner of the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). As of September 2022, the Bloomberg Billionaires Index estimates his wealth to be around $91 billion, making him the ninth richest person on Earth.

3. Satya Narayan Nadella (2014-current)

Satya Narayan Nadella (born 19 August 1967) is an Indian-American business executive. He is Microsoft's executive chairman and CEO, succeeding Steve Ballmer as CEO in 2014 and John W. Thompson as chairman in 2021. Before becoming CEO, he was executive vice president of Microsoft's Cloud and Enterprise group, responsible for building and running the company's computing platform.
