Chris Gayle and Ravindra Jadeja have set the record for the most runs in an over as Ravindra Jadeja scored 36 runs against Bangalore at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 25 April 2021 and Chris Gayle scored 36 runs against Kochi Tuskers Kerala at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore on 8 May 2011.
