Pushpa 2 Vs RRR Vs Baahubali 2 Opening Day Domestic Box Office Comparison

Hyderabad, April 15 - The Indian box office post the Covid-19 pandemic and after many big blockbusters, it has exploded again like never before, thanks to the long-awaited and highly anticipated Pan-India biggie, Pushpa 2 - The Rule. The Allu Arjun-fronted action drama has broken several records at the domestic box office and is set for a solid run in the coming weeks.

The Sukumar-directed was released on over 12000 screens worldwide, including over 8000 screens in India. The craze for this particular movie has been such that theatre owners are arranging midnight shows to meet the demand with supply and still people are finding it tough to get tickets, especially in North India, where the craze for this is sky-high.



Pushpa 2 was projected to break RRR's opening day record at the domestic box office, and it did exactly that by a long margin, both at the domestic and worldwide box office. It is now not just the biggest domestic opener but also the first to cross 200 crores gross opening (including previews) which is insane.

Apart from Pushpa 2 and RRR, there is another movie which opened to huge numbers, Baahubali 2 and these three are the only films to take the opening of 150+ crores gross each in India with the latest blockbuster going a step ahead to score double century.
