RRR Japan Box Office Collection: Clocks A Good Opening Weekend
Tokyo, October 24 - SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster RRR has had a good debut at the Japan box office, grossing approx. ¥65 million (Rs. 3.61 crores) in the opening weekend.
The movie was carrying big anticipation among the Japanese audience and the presence of Rajamaouli along with Jr. NTR and Ram Charan further raised the excitement. It opened at Rs. 1.06 crore which is the biggest for an Indian movie in Japan.
"RRR" did see some growth on the second day for approx. Rs. 1.33 crores, followed by approx. Rs. 1.22 crores on Sunday. It was released on around 210 locations in the country, which is probably the biggest-ever release for an Indian title.
The opening weekend total of "RRR" is probably the highest ever in Japan as far as the Indian movie is concerned. As said before, it is looking to finish in the top three Indian movies if not the biggest at the Japanese box office.
Produced by DVV Entertainment, "RRR" is currently the 4th highest-grossing Indian movie of all time and it will remain in that position as it looks unlikely to beat "KGF: Chapter 2" numbers. Fortunes may change if the movie gets released in China which is the biggest movie market in the world.
Stay tuned...
