Roman Reigns Sets Incredible WrestleMania Record
Roman Reigns has cemented his status as one of the most legendary professional wrestlers in history. Since his comeback in 2020, The Tribal Chief has asserted his dominance over the competition. Now, he has accomplished an incredible feat at WrestleMania, further firming his legacy.
In August 2020, Reigns captured the Universal Championship at Payback, dethroning The Fiend in a triple-threat match that also involved Braun Strowman. At WrestleMania 38, he went on to defeat Brock Lesnar, unifying the WWE and Universal Titles.
Reigns recently reached a remarkable milestone, surpassing 1,000 days as champion. Just to make this moment memorable he was presented with a new championship. The Tribal Chief remains determined to break more records, and he has now become the longest-reigning champion in WWE history since the inception of WrestleMania in 1985.
This major record was previously held by the renowned WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, whose initial reign as WWF Champion lasted an impressive 1,474 days. However, it is worth noting that only 1,041 days of Hogan's reign were within the WrestleMania era.
Jey Uso recently challenged Roman Reigns to a match at SummerSlam during an episode of Smackdown. It remains to be seen how WWE will further develop their feud in the upcoming weeks, as Reigns' reign as champion shows no signs of coming to an end.
