Roman Reigns Vs Cody Rhodes Set For WrestleMania 40?
The Bloodline's reign of dominance may be coming to an end.
After months of being seemingly unbeatable, Roman Reigns and The Usos finally suffered a clean loss at Money in the Bank. The Usos were defeated by RK-Bro, which means that Roman Reigns is now the only member of the Bloodline who is still undefeated.
However, it may not be long before Reigns joins his cousins on the losing end. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, Cody Rhodes has said that he wants to face Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 40.
This would be a rematch of their match at WrestleMania 38, which Reigns won. However, this time, Rhodes will be coming into the match with a lot more momentum. He has been one of the most popular wrestlers in WWE since his return, and he has already defeated several top stars, including Seth Rollins and Seth Rollins.
A match between Reigns and Rhodes at WrestleMania 40 would be a dream match for many fans. Both men are incredibly talented wrestlers, and they have a lot of history together. It would be a fitting way to close out the decade-long rivalry between the Rhodes family and The Anoa'i family.
Of course, nothing is official yet. WWE could always change its plans between now and WrestleMania 40. But if the company is serious about making Rhodes a top star, then this is the match that they need to book.
