SS Rajamouli's Blockbuster 'RRR' Hits Another Milestone At The Japan Box Office

Tokyo, April 3 - SS Rajamouli mega-blockbuster RRR recently celebrated the historic one-year of its release. Starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in the leading roles, RRR is still playing in theaters and doing fantastic business at the box office.

The period action drama was released in Japan in October 2022, and even after more than five months, it is still playing in a significant number of theaters there. It has already become the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan and is also the first Indian title to cross ¥1 billion mark.



After the ¥1 billion mark, RRR has now hit another milestone at the Japan box office. It has crossed 1 million admissions in Japanese theaters, and needless to say, it is the only Indian film to achieve the feat. The total collection has reached ¥1.52 billion or approx. 94 crores in 164 days in the anime country.

Produced by DVV Entertainment, RRR recently became the 3rd highest-grossing Indian film of all time at the worldwide box office by crossing KGF: Chapter 2. The total worldwide collection of the movie stands at approx. 1215 crores, including approx. 300 crores at the overseas box office.
