UFC 299: Miami Heats Up With Record-Breaking Attendance And Gate

The sunshine state sizzled this past weekend as UFC 299 rolled into Miami, Florida, bringing with it a night of fights and a packed crowd. The event shattered expectations, breaking records for both attendance and gate revenue.

Dana White, UFC president, announced 19,600 fans packed into the arena, making it the highest-grossing event ever held at the venue. Not only that, but UFC 299 clinched the fourth spot on the list of all-time highest-grossing UFC events.



"I never thought I'd be saying this, we're here in Miami the gate was 14.14 Million. It is was sell out 19,6 people the highest-grossing event ever at the arena," Dana White said. "We broke our own record and it is the fourth highest-grossing UFC event of all time. Miami is on fire this place is unbelievable, what they've done in the state and in the city in the last 10 years is...phenomenal.

The energy in Miami was palpable from the very beginning. The press conference was abuzz with excitement, which only intensified throughout the weigh-ins and fight night itself. The crowd was a passionate mix, chanting for fighters from all over the globe, but especially those with local ties. Ecuadorians in particular were a vocal force, cheering on their countryman Marlon "Chito" Vera.

The night wasn't just about the crowd, however. Inside the octagon, fighters delivered unforgettable performances. Dustin Poirier cemented his legendary status with another thrilling fight, while newcomer Michael Venom Page impressed fight fans with a flashy entrance and a dominant knockout victory.
