Box Office: Anek First Saturday Early Estimates; Struggle Continues

Mumbai, May 28 - Anek took a low opening on the first day by collecting 2.11 crores net box office collections. It could not add anything on the second day as well as the early estimated collections are set to be in a similar range as of Friday. The film is likely to collect around 2.30cr net on Saturday.

These types of word-of-mouth films largely depend upon the Saturday growth and when there is not much growth on the most important day i.e Saturday then there is very less chance that the film could emerge as a successful film.

The first Saturday collections will take the entire collections of Anek to a little under 4.50cr net box office collections depending upon the final numbers of Today. The Saturday collections also confirmed that there won't be much growth on Sunday as well and from Monday onwards, The film will get very less footfalls unless the film shows some miraculous growth over the next few days.

There were a series of disasters that the ticket window has seen in the past few months and Anek is likely to join that list. Next week will see a grand release in the form of Samrat Prithviraj which will take away all the showcasing of running titles except Bhool Bhulaiya 2.
