Box Office: Don (Tamil) Opening Day Early Estimates

Chennai, May 13 - Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan seems to have another blockbuster in his kitty after a blockbuster opening of his latest flick "Don".

Directed by debutante Cibi Chakaravarthi, "Don" scored an estimated 9-10 crores net on its opening day. This is the biggest ever opening (subject to official data) for Sivakarthikeyan whose popularity is growing day by day among the Tamil audiences.

The coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama film opened to the strong positive word of mouth which helped the movie to pick up towards evening and night shows. The advance booking for Saturday is looking strong while the shows have also been increased.

Sivakarthikeyan's previous movie, "Doctor", which was released in October 2021, proved to be the biggest grosser for the actor with over 100 crores worldwide gross. "Don" has taken a strong opening and it will be interesting to see if it could become the biggest movie for him.

The movie also stars Priyanka Arulmohan as the female lead and her act is being praised by one and all. The cast also includes S. J. Suryah, Samuthirakani, and Soori in prominent roles.
