Box Office: 'RRR' Off To Strong Start In Hindi

Mumbai, March 25 - The brand S S Rajamouli has come to the party again!

"RRR", a period action drama film starring Jr. NTR, and Ram Charan in the lead roles, has brought the biggest cheer to the Indian film industry for the first time since "Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion".

The highly-anticipated film from the maverick filmmaker has possibly taken the biggest opening ever for an Indian film at the domestic box office with an estimated 124 crores net, overstepping "Baahubali 2".

In Hindi, which is keenly been observed by the stakeholders, "RRR" scored an estimated 17-18 crores net on Friday. The film opened to a decent start in the morning but picked up towards the evening and night shows, largely due to the very positive word of mouth.

If the final data comes in the line of early estimates, "RRR" will become the biggest opening day scorer for a Pan-India movie since Prabhas-fronted "Saaho", which debuted with 24.40 crores in Hindi in 2019.
