Box Office: Samrat Prithviraj Ends First Week On A Low Note

Mumbai, June 10 - The last week's mega release Samrat Prithviraj fronted by Akshay Kumar has ended its first week on a low note. Samrat Prithviraj just collected 55.05 crores net box office collections in the first week.

The film was released on around 4000 screens in India and the budget of the film is said to be over 200cr making it one of the biggest budgeted flicks in Bollywood. Despite that, the film has failed to live onto expectations.

The first week's collections are among the lowest Akshay Kumar film if you compare it with his pre-pandemic films. There are no circuits or centers where the film has done well with the biggest circuits like Mumbai, Delhi/UP, and Gujarat rejecting the film completely. The performance on a few single screens is better but that's about it.

The lifetime business of the film might not even reach 75cr. It will be a back-to-back disaster for Akshay Kumar who was going through the best phase of his career before the pandemic. His next release is going to be RakshaBandhan which is slated to release on 11th August.
