Box Office: Vikram First Day Early Estimates; Excellent Start

Chennai, June 3 - Superstar Kamal Haasan returned to the big screen after a long time with the action thriller "Vikram". The Lokesh Kanagraj-directed was one of the most anticipated Tamil movies of the year and the makers left no stone unturned to make sure it reaches the widest audiences possible.

"Vikram", also starring Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil was also released in Telugu and Hindi with the title "Vikram Hitlist". It was expected to take a huge opening and not so surprisingly, it did.

As per the early estimates, "Vikram" has scored approx. Rs. 34 crores net on the first day for all languages. The large collection of the movie comes from the original Tamil version with approx. 30 crores.

The opening of "Vikram" is by far the biggest ever for Kamal Haasan who has also produced the movie under his banner Raaj Kamal Films. The movie has received excellent reviews from critics and audiences and is expected to post the biggest opening weekend of 2022 for a Tamil movie.
