'RRR' Takes A Record-Breaking Opening At Pan-India Box Office
Mumbai, March 25 - As per the early estimates, "RRR" has taken a record-breaking opening at the domestic box office.
There were high expectations from this SS Rajamouli-directed and it has lived up to those by a fair margin. While the movie was expected to record a huge opening day in the original Telugu language, the other dubbed versions have also come in very handy.
Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2" recorded 121 crores India net, which is the biggest ever opening for an Indian movie. Now, the director's latest film has been estimated to generate 124 crores on the first day, setting a new box office record in India.
In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the period action drama film grossed an estimated 100 crores including nearly 70 crores share (biggest of all-time) on Friday. The Hindi, which holds the key for film's box office fate, came about 17-18 crores net as per estimates.
Apart from AP/TG, and Hindi belt, "RRR" is expected to gross 29 crores in the other states, including Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. The all-important final data might come in or over the early estimates, but as of now, it is looking to set the new box office records.
