Thalapathy 65 Is Officially Launched With Pooja Ceremony; See Pictures

Thalapathy Vijay's next film with Sun Pictures has officially been launched with a traditional pooja ceremony today (March 31) at Chennai in Sun Pictures studio.

The untitled "Thalapathy 65" will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Maran under his banner Sun Pictures. The movie also marks the return of Pooja Hegde in Tamil cinema as she has been paired with Vijay in this mega-budgeted film.

Sun Pictures took to Twitter and shared pictures from today's movie launch ceremony.

As per reports, Vijay had initially planned to shoot a major sequence of the film in Russia. However, the rising number of cases of COVID-19 changed their plans. Therefore, only a few romantic scenes will be shot in Russia while the rest of the film will be completed in Chennai.

Thalapathy 65 is said to have a pan-India movie and will release in multiple languages around Pongal 2022.
