Valimai Advance Booking Crosses Thalapathy Vijay's 'Master'
Chennai, February 23 - The long wait for Ajith Kumar's fans is finally nearing its end as the actor's hugely-hyped action thriller film, "Valimai" is hitting theaters on February 24, in Tamil, Hindin, Telugu, and Kannada.
Directed by H Vinoth, "Valimai" has been one of the most trending topics on social media for the last one and a half years. After delaying the release date on a few occasions, the makers finally decided to bring the film on Feb. 24 in cinemas. The advance booking for the same was opened just a few days before the release, and it is underway at a brisk pace.
The advance booking of "Valimai" has crossed the Thalapathy Vijay's Master, which was released in January 2021. "Valimai" has so far grossed Rs. 21.60 crores in advance collection for the first day (as of 12 PM on Feb. 23). "Master", on the other hand, had grossed Rs. 17 crores in advance total. "Valimai" is also expected to beat "Master's day 1 gross collection of Rs. 40.40 crores, as it is eyeing approx. Rs. 45 crores.
"Valimai" is produced by Boney Kapoor under Bayview Projects LLP in collaboration with Zee Studios, as co-producer and distributor. The film also stars Huma Qureshi, Kartikeya Gummakonda, Bani J, Raj Ayyappa, Chaitra Reddy, among others in key roles. The music of the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja while cinematography is handled by Nirav Shah, and editing is done by Vijay Velukutty.
The story of the film revolves around Arjun (Ajith Kumar), a police officer, who is assigned to track down a group of outlaw bikers following their involvement in heinous crimes.
