The sequel to Tom Holland's 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' has been postponed to 17 December 2021 after Disney's movie calendar rescheduled. ## The movie was originally scheduled to release on 5 November 2021, but Sony announced the move on Thursday night after a shakeup of Disney's film slate was unveiled earlier in the day (as stated by Variety). Now, the sequel of Spider-Man will take place on the date of formerly held Avatar 2, which has been pushed back to December 2022. ## It is the third instance when the makers of Spider-Man series have rescheduled the release date. Earlier, the movie was slated to release on 16 July 2021 before Sony had postponed it to 5 November 2021, and now, it has been postponed again. ## Sony Pictures also stated that the new release date is for the domestic calendar while its international release date remains in question. ## Spider-Man is not the only movie that has been delayed, earlier, MCU's 'Black Widow', DC's 'Wonder Woman 1984', Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet' among the several movies that have been postponed indefinitely. ## The release dates of the movie are pushing further because most of the theaters around the world are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and there seem to be no plans to reopen them safely to a wide audience any time soon. ## Stay tuned...

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to begin from 19 Septemeber and the final will be played on November 8 in UAE. The IPL Governing Council chairman Brijesh Patel confirmed on Friday, July 24 on pending clearance from the Indian government. ## Earlier this week, BCCI had selected United Arab Emirates to host this year's IPL. However, BCCI tried hard to keep the tournament in India but failed as the COVID-19 pandemic is kept worsening in the country. ## The Emirates Cricket Board, and SLC, had approached the BCCI with the offer of playing host to the IPL 2020, stating that they had the required infrastructure for it. With the ICC postponing the Men's T20 World Cup to the next year, a window was opened for the IPL to take place. ## Further details regarding the plan of departure for teams and the full schedule of the tournament will be discussed at the IPL Governing Council meeting scheduled next week. ## Stay tuned...

It was recently when the cast and crew of the highly anticipated movie Avatar 2 headed New Zealand to resume shoot and the movie was all set to bring the action on December 2021. But, such has been the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic which has not only resulted in movies that were about to come out being delayed but movies ways into the future needing to be pushed back too and Avatar 2 is one of them. ## Responding to the delay, James Cameron, the director of Avatar, today (July 24) confirmed that bringing the movie on December next year will no longer be possible as the coronavirus pandemic has prevented him and his team from recommencing most of the visual production work on stages in Los Angeles, which he described as being "just as critical" to the Avatar movies as the live-action work. ## He continued in a statement shared on Twitter, "Prior to the COVID-19, everything was on track to bring you the first sequel in December of 2021. Unfortunately, due to the impact that the pandemic has had on our schedule, it is no longer possible for us to make that date.## There is no one more disappointed about this delay than me. But I am buoyed by the incredible performances of our cast and the extraordinary work that Weta Digital is doing bringing the world of Pandora and the characters of the film to life". ## The director also added in his statement that he is "thankful for the support" he is receiving from Disney Studios as well as to the fans for their love and support over the years. While we all are waiting for the announcement of one of the most awaited and highly anticipated movies Krrish 4, the rumors around this superhero flick have already started making noise. Recently, there some news regarding Hrithik Roshan playing 4 roles in Krrish 4 were floating on social media. ## However, the director and producer of the Krrish franchise, Rakesh Roshan rubbished all the rumors about Hrithik playing 4 roles as the script work yet to be done. ## Speaking to a leading daily, He said, "Journalists have a lot of time these days to think up screenplay ideas at home. This is just a rumor, like many rumors about Krrish 4. There is absolutely no truth to it. The script is in the process of evolving. It is still very early. When we do lock in on certain specifics in the plot, I'll share them with you".## While the script work is in the process, the makers of Krrish 4 are planning to make this film even bigger this time in terms of action and visuals. The previous three movies under the Krrish series were highly successful. Thus, the fans will have high hopes from Krrish 4 whenever it releases. ## According to reports, if everything goes well, Krrish 4 is said to roll by the middle of the next year. However, the official confirmation about when the script will be done and shooting will start yet to be made by the makers and Hrithik Roshan himself. Earlier, Rakesh Roshan announced on Hrithik's birthday (January 10) in 2018 that Krrish 4 will release on Christmas 2020 of which the possibilty has now been completely disappeared. ## Now, with a lot of time left for Krrish 4, before that, Hrithik Roshan is said to be doing the remake of Satte Pe Satta, which will be directed by Farah Khan. After helping thousands of migrant workers to reach their homes, actor Sonu Sood is now set to launch the "Pravasi Rojgar app", which will help migrant workers to find employment opportunities in various sectors across the country. ## The "Overseas Employment App" will be launched on July 23, Thursday with job opportunities from over 500 reputed companies related to construction, apparel, healthcare, engineering, BPOs, security, automobile, e-commerce, and logistics available on the platform. Extensive consultations have been held with top organizations that are involved at the grass-root level in developing skills and placement of youth below the poverty line."## Sonu Sood also said that he not a single rupee will be charged from migrants who will register their name. All they have to do is provide their qualification and what they want to learn will have to register.## He said that to develop this App, his engineer friends helped him, and many companies and NGOs also supporting this initiative. As of now, the App is in only English language which will soon be in 5 languages.## Before initiating the Employment scheme, Sonu Sood had helped migrant workers previously who were finding it hard to cope up with the COVID-19 pandemic. Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Productions has bought the distribution rights of one of the most awaited movies, a comedy entertainer, Coolie No. 1 in whopping Rs 50 crore. While several other movies going for directly to the OTT route, Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer is one of the movies that has been held back for a theatrical release. ## David Dhawan directorial is already in the hot list of the film's trade as the exhibitors anticipate it to generate the big cash once the movie releases upon the re-opening of cinemas. Makers and distributors are hopeful that movie lovers along with their families will be coming on board in huge numbers whenever the movie releases. ## According to a report in a leading portal, "It's a fresh film with Varun (Dhawan), Sara (Ali Khan), and a huge ensemble with Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Javed Jeffery. It has fetched approximately Rs 50 crore from Balaji for the distribution of the film in India. The deal was struck before the coronavirus pandemic and there lies a chance of renegotiating it, depending on the on-ground scenario closer to the film’s release".## The earnings of the movie, however, will depend upon how will the cinema function post the COVID-19 world. "The magic of cinema is here to stay and once we leave COVID back, the audience will return to the cinema in huge numbers, as watching a film is like an event for the people in India. Big screen experiences like Sooryavanshi, 83, Radhe, Coolie No. 1 will ensure that cinema is here to stay", the report further stated. ## Coolie No. 1 is the official remake of Govinda and Karishma Kapoor's comedy movie by the same name of 1995 which was also directed by David Dhawan. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has introduced Shantanu Maheshwari who will be seen opposite Alia Bhatt in the biographical crime film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. Shantanu Maheshwari who is a well-trained dancer from Kolkata will make his major motion picture debut with this film. ## According to the sources, Sanjay Leela Bhansali saw Shantanu on a reality show and immediately saw star potential in him. Later Shantanu was called by Bhansali's office and offered him the movie to which he obviously did not deny. ## Shantanu debuted in a dance show called Dil Dosti Dance which aired on Channel V as the protagonist Swayam Shekhawat. He is also a part of the Desi Hoppers dance crew who emerged as winners in the World of Dance 2015 Championship in Los Angeles.## Apart from being a professional dancer, the 29-year-old is also the winner of Season 8 of Colors TV's reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi hosted by Rohit Shetty. Maheshwari also featured in Nach Baliye and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 9. ## Talking about the movie Gangubai Kathiawadi, it is based on a chapter of Hussain Zaidi's book 'Mafia Queens of Mumbai' about Gangubai Kothewali, the madam of a brothel. Alia Bhatt plays the role of Gangubai Kathiawadi. The movie is produced by Bhansali Productions and Pen Media Limited. ## Along with Alia and Shantanu, the movie also features Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Vijay Raaz, and Seema Pahwa in important roles. It was recently when one of the leading actresses of Bollywood Deepika Padukone roped in for Prabhas starrer upcoming untitled movie called as Prabhas 21. However, it was not easy for the makers to bring Deepika on board as she put up a "very strong resistance". But makers were keen to have her on board and they made her an offer she couldn't resist.## According to a report in a leading portal stated, "Apparently Deepika these days, asks for remuneration on a par with what the leading man of a film gets. She rightly feels she has earned herself a place of gender equality in her profession". ## The report suggests that despite not getting an equal fee to Prabhas (he is paid close to Rs. 50 crores), Deepika is being paid close to Rs. 20 crores which makes her the highest-paid actress in the history of Indian cinema. ## Interestingly, the role of the female protagonist in the Prabhas starrer was not "all that substantial" to begin with. It is now being modified according to Deepika Padukone's star status and remuneration. ## Talking about the movie, it will be a trilingual movie that will be directed by Nag Ashwin who also directed national award-winning Telugu movie Mahanati. In the latest ICC rankings, England's all-rounder Ben Stokes dethrones West Indies captain Jason Holder to become the number 1 all-rounder in Test cricket. Since the world cup final last year, Stokes has been in a different form and has played some of the remarkable knocks including the title-winning 84 against New Zealand in the final of the World Cup 2019 at the Lord's.## However, his knock in the final was just a glimpse of his sheer talent. In the 3rd Test of the Ashes Series 2019, his knock of 136* helped England win the test from nowhere. One of the leading actors of Star Plus's show Ishqbaaz, Shrenu Parikh was recently diagnosed with the Coronavirus and was admitted to a hospital in Vadodara. However, the actress has now almost recovered and back home and is quarantining as a precautionary measure. ## Now, the 30-year-old opens up about her experience of dealing with the COVID-19. In an exclusive chat with ETimes, she shared that despite barely stepping out from her home for five months and taking all the precautions she got infected with this virus. In her road to recovery, Shrenu further stated the value of life and how she put up a brave face in front of her parents but couldn't hold back her tears while speaking to her Ishqbaaz girls. ## While talking about how she knew she got infected, She said that initially, she had a bit of cough that she assumed was normal viral. After a few days, she had a fever that made her a little worried. However, despite all the symptoms, she was in denial mode that she had this virus until she lost her sense of smell.## When she got the news of her came positive, she informed her parents and asked them not to panic. She also informed everyone who had come in contact with her to get themselves tested. Luckily, all of them tested negative including her parents and she thanked God for that because she was feeling guilty and responsible.## The actress shared that she spent 7 days in the hospital before getting discharged and asked for a strict quarantine at home for next 7 days. While speaking about the hospital staff, she stated that they are no less than God. They were taking care of her properly and were so nice and not being negative. Saluting their commendable efforts, Shrenu Parikh couldn’t be more grateful for them.## While pointing out at the value of life, Shrenu said that a lot of people hide about being covid positive only because of sheer stigma or their neighbors' badmouth. Indian Premier League 2020 which was scheduled to begin earlier this year in March, will now be played in the United Arab Emirates. Among the few options of holding this year's IPL, BCCI has selected UAE to host the tournament which was postponed earlier due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, BCCI will have to wait for the government's approval. ## "We have written to the government seeking permission to host the tournament in UAE. The dates have not been finalized as yet and will be decided at the (next) IPL GC, which will be held in the next seven or ten days", IPL chairman Brijesh Patel told to Cricbuzz, on Tuesday (July 21). ## After the International Cricket Council (ICC) postponed Men's T20 World Cup 2020 which was scheduled to hold in Australia in October-November yesterday on July 20, the doors were open for the IPL to take place. ## After asserting the COVID-19 situation, BCCI looked at several alternatives in a bid to host the tournament later in the year in India. Boards from several countries - Sri Lanka, New Zealand and UAE offered to host the tournament. Last month, the Emirates Cricket Board had offered to host the tournament in UAE, stating that they had the required infrastructure for it.## In all likelihood, UAE will end up hosting the tournament. However, Brijesh Patel didn't deny the possibility of hosting the tournament in India and hinted that options are open as of now. The decision, however, will be taken in the upcoming IPL Governing Council meeting.## Stay tuned...
