Los Angeles, January 31 - Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" is on the roll at the box office, and now breached a rare and major milestone in Saudi Arabia.## Siddharth Anand's directorial film has crossed the $1 million mark in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and becomes the first ever Indian film to reach the mark. The spy action thriller has so far grossed approx. $1.20 million in KSA in 5 days. ## Meanwhile, the blockbuster movie has crossed the $10 million mark in North America, becoming only the 6th Indian movie to achieve the feat. After grossing the biggest opening weekend and the second biggest for an Indian movie with $9.5 million, "Pathaan" scored another approx. $560K on Monday for approx. $10.06 million in 6 days. ## Also starring John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, "Pathaan" will become the 3rd biggest Indian movie in the second weekend by beating the likes of "Dangal" ($12.39M) and "Padmaavat" ($12.17M). It also has a shot at beating "RRR" ($14.85M) for the second spot. Mumbai, January 30 - Pathaan which created havoc worldwide in its extended opening weekend has a superb hold on the crucial first Monday of its box office run. As per the early estimates, the movie scored around 23 crores net. Few films had a higher Monday number than Pathaan on nonholiday but this 23cr is coming after a business of 280cr net which makes it an extraordinary Monday. ## The first Monday collections will take Pathaan to over the 300cr net box office mark and this is the first Hindi film post-pandemic to cross this benchmark. It is also the first Shah Rukh Khan film that crossed the benchmark of 300cr. His contemporaries Salman Khan and Aamir Khan have multiple tipple-century grossers but Pathaan is sure to beat all of them by a margin. ## Pathaan now stands at 303cr net and by the end of the second weekend, the film is sure to beat the numbers of Dangal to emerge as the highest-grossing film in the industry. The target would be to beat the numbers set by the brands like Bahubali2 and KGF2 and Pathaan has the shot at KGF2. The Bahubali2 numbers will depend on the performance on the second Friday. ## The film has emerged as a blockbuster at the box office and this is the first Shah Rukh Khan blockbuster at the box office since Chennai Express which was released in 2013. Mumbai, January 30 - The Bollywood film industry is witnessing history being re-written at the box office, thanks to superstar Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" which is simply tearing apart all the box office records. The spy action thriller has just concluded its opening weekend with a worldwide gross collection of approx. 542 crores. ## The success of "Pathaan" comes at a time when Bollywood was all over post the covid-19 pandemic. Despite a few box-office successes last year, the Hindi film industry badly needed a big blockbuster to regain its lost glory, and that came in the form of Siddharth Anand's directorial, which is a part of Yash Raj Films' ambitious spy universe. Also starring John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, "Pathaan" is currently the 15th biggest Indian film and will be entered in the top 5. ## On the larger picture, more than Bollywood, "Pathaan" marks a king-size comeback of two giant forces of Indian cinema, Shah Rukh Khan and Yash Raj Films. The combo of SRK and YRF has delivered some of the remarkable blockbusters of Indian cinema, but over the last few years, things didn't go the way they would have thought. ## Shah Rukh Khan - Before "Pathaan", King Khan's last film in a full-fledged role was "Zero" in 2018. It was an experimental film for the superstar with director Aanand L. Rai. After dealing with a tough situation, SRK returned to the set in early 2022 and completed the shoot amid start-stop schedules due to the pandemic.## "Pathaan" has now become SRK's biggest blockbuster and it is the sweetest end to his 4 years of hiatus during which he was writing a whole new book when everyone thought his chapter is over. ## Yash Raj Films - If Bollywood is kicking and alive, it is because of the production houses like YRF who didn't surrender at the time when others were taking the easy route to cover their losses. A firm believer in big screen experience, YRF, arguably the biggest production studio in India, is probably the biggest reason behind "Pathaan's" success. ## The studio, headed by Aditya Chopra, could have easily gone the other way but he chooses to go with what was most important for Bollywood. YRF had four releases post the pandemic, in the form of "Bunty Aur Babli 2", "Jayeshbhai Jordaar", "Samrat Prithviraj", and "Shamshera", and they all turned out to be disasters at the box office. YRF got lucrative offers from OTT platforms for direct-to-digital releases for the aforementioned, but it reject all of them to give those movies a proper theatrical release. ## Yash Raj Films deserve much more praise than it is getting for "Pathaan". After the biggest-ever opening for a Hindi film, "Pathaan" pilled on the momentum to end the 5-day weekend to approx. 335 crores gross at the domestic box office, which is the biggest ever 5-day count for a Hindi film. ## The overseas box office collection of "Pathaan" matched the magic of the domestic collection as it scored 207 crores internationally in 5 days, already becoming the number 1 Bollywood movie of all time in many markets. The overseas numbers of the film help the total worldwide collection to reach approx. 542 crores gross in 5 days. ## The total worldwide collection of "Pathaan" after 5 days is almost double what the trade had initially predicted. No other film in history has collected even 55cr on any single day in Hindi while Pathaan has done that multiple times which is nothing but an extraordinary feat.## The Sunday number will come as the second-highest single day ever just behind the second day of Pathaan. The top 3 single days are of Pathaan only at 68 cr, 60 cr*, and 57 cr. The film has broken each and every record to date by a huge margin and it would be impossible for any film shortly to break these records. ## The first Sunday collections will take the entire extended five-day weekend collections to around the 280 cr mark. Only 7-8 Hindi films have collected more than Pathaan in their lifetime run and Pathaan will cross all those films to be at the top. Despite the mid-week release, "Pathaan" grossed $9.50 million (77.50 crores) during the 5-day weekend, the highest for a Bollywood and second highest ever for an Indian film. ## "Pathaan" opened with $1.49 million on Wednesday before grossing $1.11 million on Thursday and $1.85 million, $2.86 million, and $2.16 million on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday respectively. All the predictions and estimates are falling short against the Pathaan mania and it has now crossed 300 crores gross worldwide in flat three days. ## "Pathaan" had another huge third day domestically with a gross collection of approx. 45+ crores. Overseas, it had the biggest day so far with an estimated collection of around 45 crores, making it 90+ crores Friday. Mumbai, January 27 - Pathaan is simply ripping apart the box office on the third day of its run. The first two days saw record single-day collections but those were helped by the craze and a holiday on the second day, but the extraordinary hold today confirms that the film is a blockbuster. ## The early estimate suggests the movie is heading towards 34-35 crores net on Friday. The drop from yesterday will be around 50% depending on the final numbers. Today is a crucial day for Pathaan as it was a working day but the content and star power of the film defeated that. These are early estimates figures and the final collections could vary but even if it comes slightly lower than 35 crores it will be an outstanding hold.## The 35cr Friday collections will take its entire collections to around 162cr which is a new record for a three-day weekend film and that too by a big margin. The previous three-day weekend record holder was KGF2 at around 140cr while for the Hindi film industry, it was Sanju at around 120cr net and Pathaan obliterated these records. ## Pathaan will see a big jump tomorrow and the film might cross 200cr collections by the end of the day. The five-day extended weekend numbers will be in the range of 250cr give or take 5cr. The first Monday collections will determine whether the film will cross 400cr collections or not. At the moment that magical 400cr looks well within the range the way, the film is putting the numbers.## Shah Rukh Khan is back at the box office who had a series of flops and underperformers though his stardom was unquestioned you always need numbers on your side and Pathaan did that for Shah Rukh Khan. Mumbai, January 26 - Pathaan, which took a mega bumper opening on the first day by collecting 57cr net box office collections in all the versions has gone to another level on its second day which is simply outstanding as the first day itself was the record single day for Bollywood.## Today was a huge national holiday in the form of Republic day and Pathaan being an already-established blockbuster has gone to another level. The biggest growth has come in centers that were lacking on the first day which is a huge boost. The mass centers of North where Shah Rukh Khan starrers underperform have seen extraordinary collections today due to the holiday and the genre.## The early estimate collections suggest 65+ crores net, which is more than anything else released at the box office in the Hindi version beating its own record. The collection might touch 70 crores as well as mass centers behave like a monster today. The first two days are record single days for Pathaan and the only other film which repeated something similar to this was Salman Khan starrer Dabangg in 2010 when the first three days of the film emerged as record single days. Here the third day will be tough but not impossible the way film is behaving at the box office. ## The first two collections will take the entire collections of Pathaan to over 122cr net (official data awaited). "Pathaan" has emerged as the highest weekend in the Hindi film industry in flat two days. It also became the first film which crossed 100cr in two days only.
