Box Office: Gadar 2 Crosses 600 Crores And OMG 2 Hits 200 Crores Worldwide

Mumbai, August 29 - Sunny Deol-fronted period action drama film Gadar 2: The Katha Continues continuing its heroic run and crossed 600 crores mark at the worldwide box office on its 18th day. It has become the second Indian movie of the year to achieve this milestone.## Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 has so far scored approximately 544 crores gross collection in India (460.65 crores net) while its overseas collection is excellent 61 crores through 3rd Monday (18 days). The worldwide box office collection of the movie has reached 104.60 crores to-date.## Gadar 2 has become the 12th Indian movie and 7th outright Bollywood movie of all-time to top 600 crores worldwide gross. Post the covid-19 pandemic, it the 4th Indian movie and 2nd Bollywood film to reach this box office figure. ## Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar's social comedy drama OMG 2 also having a very good run despite competition and not-so mass friendly film. On its first Monday (18th day), it topped 200 crores gross mark at the global box office and becomes the first movie of Akshay since Sooryavanshi (2021) to achieve this feat.## In India, the Amit Rai's directorial movie has minted 161 crores gross while overseas, it has grossed around 39 crores so far. Written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain, the movie was a box office hit and left an open ending for the sequel.## Now, according to Pinkvilla, Ajay Devgn and Luv Rajan are reuniting for the sequel to the movie and set to take it on floors early next year. The original writer duo of Ranjan and Jain have written the script and it will be the continuation of the first part.## It is said that Ajay Devgn and Luv Ranjan recently met to discus the technicalities. Mumbai, August 28 - August 2023 has turned out to be a historic month at the Indian box office with all films scoring well over 1000 crores net collection. Box Office: Gadar 2 Surpasses KGF 2 To Become The Third Highest-Grossing Film In Hindi Domestically

Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' To Be Screened At World's Largest IMAX Screen

Mumbai, August 26 - After Pathaan earlier this year, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is set for another potential blockbuster ride with the action thriller film Jawan which is scheduled to release on September 7, 2023. The movie is directed by Atlee Kumar and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. ## Jawan will be released in the regular 2D format along with a premium IMAX version. Now, it has been revealed that it will be screened on the world's largest IMAX screen in Germany. The screen, which stands in Leonberg near Stuttgart in Germany, measures 38 by 22 m (125 by 72 ft). Mumbai, August 25 - Gadar 2 has shown a superb hold on the third Friday of its box office run as the early estimates suggest 6.50-7 crores net collection. These collections are excellent for Third Friday especially because Dream Girl 2 was released today and has taken away major showcasing in the multiplexes which drives the business on Friday and Saturday.## The third Friday collections of Gadar2 will take the total collections of the film to around 426 crores net mark. The film will cross the 450cr net box office mark by this weekend but how far it can go will decide the final lifetime business. Mumbai, August 25 - Actress Alia Bhatt has become a force to reckon with in the Bollywood film industry.
