Gokulam Movies Acquires Distribution Rights of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' In Kerala and Tamil Nadu For All-Time Record Price
Chennai, August 18 - Sree Gokulam Movies, the leading distribution house in Kerala, has acquired the theatrical rights of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan" in Kerala and Tamil Nadu for an all-time highest price for a Bollywood movie.## According to Kerala industry tracker Ab George, Gokulam Movies has paid an unheard non-refundable royalty amount of 50 crores to grab the rights. This is by far the biggest-ever distribution deal for any Bollywood movie in the South Indian market. ## Gokulam Movies will release "Jawan" via Dream Big Films in Kerala while Tamil Nadu release will be done through market leader Red Giant Movies. The movie is carrying massive buzz in these two states and it is expected to emerge a big success. ## This is the third straight huge film acquired by Gokulam Movies after Rajinikanth's "Jailer" and Thalapathy Vijay's "Leo" in Kerala. "Jailer" is currently playing in theaters and has already emerged as an all-time blockbuster success in the state with 37+ crores gross in just 8 days.## Directed by Atlee Kumar and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, "Jawan" stars Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role, alongside Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra while Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt play special appearances.
