Thalaivii 2: The Sequel To Kangana Ranaut Starrer To Showcase Jayalalitha's Post-CM Journey!

The film starring Kangana Ranaut traced Jayalalithaa's journey from a successful actress to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.## The movie ended on such a note that the story still could have explored a lot more or perhaps a key part of Jayalalitha's life. Politics is another chapter of her life over 20-30 years and cramming it within 15 minutes wouldn't have done it justice".## "100%, there was always the intention that if we want to show her (Jayalalithaa's) journey ahead, then we'll show it in part 2. Kangana Ranaut Files A Counter Defamation Case Against Javed Akhtar

Mumbai, September 20, 2021: Actress Kangana Ranaut appeared before a magistrate's court in Andheri, Mumbai, for the hearing in the defamation case filed against her by veteran Bollywood lyricist, Javed Akhtar. ## The court had directed the actress last week to appear on the next date, failing which it would issue an arrest warrant. After Kangana's appearance, the court adjourned the matter to November 15. ## Kangana, however, is not happy with the in-charge court on the grounds and moved a plea before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate seeking a transfer of the defamation case as she has "lost faith". She also filed a counter defamation case against Akhtar. Both will be heard on October 1. ## In her complaint against the veteran lyricist, Ranaut has accused him of extortion and criminal intimidation among other charges. She claims that in a public dispute with a co-star, Hrithik Roshan, Akhtar called her sister and her to his house at Juhu, and threatened her.## "The said accused (Akhtar) even had the audacity to then "force me to tender a written apology to my said co-star (Roshan), thus, forcefully seeking to create a document (valuable security) in favour of my co-star", Ranaut's plea said.## Earlier, Akhtar (76) had filed the complaint in the court in November last year, claiming Ranaut had made defamatory statements against him in a television interview, which allegedly damaged his reputation.## Stay tuned...

"Every rupee in my foundation is awaiting its turn to save a precious life and reach the needy. Vijay Sethupathi & Trisha's Tamil Blockbuster '96' To Get A Hindi Remake

Mumbai, September 20, 2021: After Kannada and Telugu remakes, Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan starrer romantic drama film "96" is all set to be remade in Hindi as well. Producer Ajay Kapoor, who recently announced a film on the Afghan rescue crisis, has acquired the Hindi remake rights of this Tamil blockbuster. ## Speaking about the film, Ajay Kapoor said (according to TV9), "96 was a heartwarming, light-hearted romantic tale that got a lot of love from the audience. A Documentary Series On Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan Is In The Making

Actor Sonu Sood Evaded Over Rs. 20 Crore In Taxes, Violated FCRA Norms, Claims IT Department

Mumbai, September 18, 2021: The Income Tax department, which had speed up and widened its tax evasion probe against actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood, has claimed in a statement that the actor has evaded taxes of over Rs. 20 crore. ## After conducting raids at the actor's premise for three days in a row at different locations, the department today said that it has found incriminating evidence pertaining to tax evasion during the search. "The main modus operandi followed by the actor had been to route his unaccounted income in the form of bogus unsecured loans from many bogus entities", the IT department said in a statement. ## Sonu Sood has been hailed as massiah for his philanthropical efforts during the covid-19 lockdown and tried to help people as much as he could. He had recently announced a tie-up with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party.## "Investigations so far have revealed use of 20 such entries, the providers of which, on examination, have accepted on oath to have given bogus accommodation entries. They have accepted to have issued cheques in lieu of cash. There have been instances where professional receipts have been camouflaged as loans in the books of accounts for the purpose of evasion of tax. It has also been revealed that these bogus loans have been used for making investments and acquiring properties. The total amount of tax evaded unearthed so far, amounts to more than Rs. 20 crore", the statement further read.## The CBDT said that the foundation has collected donations worth Rs. 18.94 crore from April 1, 2021, till date, out of which it has spent around Rs. 1.9 crore towards various relief work while the balance of Rs. 17 crore has been found lying unutilised in the bank account of the foundation.## "It is seen that funds to the tune of Rs. 2.1 crore have also been raised by the charity foundation from overseas donors on a crowdfunding platform in violation of (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) FCRA regulations", the CBDT statement added.## The department also said that cash of Rs 1.8 crore has been seized during the searches and 11 lockers have been placed under prohibitory order. A real estate deal and some other financial transactions linked to Sood are under the scanner of the department.## Stay tuned...

The film, titled "Visfot" is the official Hindi remake of the 2012 Venezuelan film "Rock Paper Scissors". ## The Sanjay Gupta production, "Visfot", will mark Fardeen Khan's comeback in movies after nearly a decade. He was last seen in Mudassar Aziz's 2010 romantic-comedy, Dulha Mil Gaya. In "Visfot", the actor will reportedly be seen playing the role of a taxi driver and an ex-drug dealer while Deshmukh will play a commercial airline pilot. ## The film is said to be revolving around Khan's character who kidnaps Deshmukh's son by mistake, which will unleash a chain of delicate events that'll be tragic for everyone involved. Mumbai, September 13, 2021: In a big development, two of India's biggest production houses, T-Series and Reliance Entertainment have joined hands to produce a slate of films over the next 2-3 years. During this period, the two companies will jointly produce more than 10 films across different genres that include big-budget tentpoles as well as mid and small-budget content-rich films. ## The two studios have worked together on the music marketing front for more than 100 films. And now, they will jointly be venturing into film production and will be investing over INR 1000 crores over the course of the next 24 to 36 months. ## The extensive line-up of films is in various stages of development which includes Hindi remakes of Tamil blockbuster drama and action thrillers, a mega historic biopic, espionage thriller, courtroom drama, satire comedy, romance drama, and a film based on shocking true events, amongst others.## Given the pace of the developments, confirmed alignments with some of India’s biggest stars, four to five films will have a comfortable big-screen release worldwide, starting next year-2022.
