Box Office: 'Fast X' Scores A Very Good Extended Opening Week In India
Mumbai, May 25 - Vin Diesel-fronted Hollywood action thriller Fast X was the first choice of Indian moviegoers this week, and rightly so, it scored one of the biggest opening weeks for a non-superhero Hollywood titles in India. ## "Fast & Furious" is one of the most loved Hollywood franchises in India and the 10th installment has lived up to the expectations. The movie was released on Thursday (May 18), and despite the mid-week release, it scored a very good 4-day weekend with approx. 60 crores net (71 crores gross) collection. ## The high-octane actioner remained steady during the weekdays which helped it to post around 79+ crores net in the extended 8-day first week. This is the second-biggest opening week total for a non-superhero Hollywood title in India, after "The Lion King" (2019) which scored 81+ crores net collection. ## "Fast X" is approaching 100 crores net club and it will breach this mark mostly during the second week. It will be the second film in the "Fast and Furious" franchise to enter the 100 crores net club in India after "Fast & Furious 7" (2015) which scored approx. 108 crores net.
