Mumbai, November 24 - Bollywood witnessed one of the most disastrous weekends as both 120 Bahadur and Mastiii 4 delivered modest numbers at the box office, despite arriving with brand value and familiar faces. While Farhan Akhtar's war drama 120 Bahadur managed to put better numbers than the other one, neither film could create the kind of impact the industry was hoping for. 120 Bahadur, based on the Battle of Rezang La, opened on a lukewarm note but showed some signs of improvement over the weekend. After a low start, the film witnessed growth on Saturday and maintained the same pace on Sunday, taking its 3-day India net total to approximately 10 crore. While the jump indicates favourable word of mouth in certain pockets, the overall weekend remained below expectations considering the film's scale and subject. Mumbai, May 1 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 is off to a solid start at the domestic box office. The movie was expected to open well due to being the sequel and star power, but it has exceeded expectations to set the stage for a big weekend. ## According to early estimates, Raid 2 has scored 18-19 crores net collection on its first day, Thursday. The movie benefited from the partial holiday due to Maharashtra Day / Labour Day, which provided the extra push to take the collection close to the 20 crores mark. ## The trade was anticipating a little lower opening day, which still would have been a very good start, but here, the film showed what a sequel can do. The movie performed best in Maharashtra, which has been a strong market for Ajay Devgn over the years, followed by Gujarat, Delhi, and West Bengal. ## The initial word of mouth for Raid 2 is mixed to positive, which should be enough for it a have a very good extended opening weekend. Mumbai, April 30 - After the big success of Raid (2018), Bollywood star Ajay Devgn and director Raj Kumar Gupta have reunited for its sequel, which hits the big screen on May 1st. The movie has been censored with a U/A certificate with an approved runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes, and is carrying positive buzz. ## Lately, the franchise-based films are doing wonders at the box office, and it seems, Raid 2 is set to be the next in the list. The advance booking of the movie was opened a couple of days ago, and the response has been pleasant, with one of the best for a Bollywood movie of the year. ## As of 8 PM on April 30, Raid 2 has sold around 160K tickets worth approximately 4.35 crores gross for the opening day. The final sales are heading towards 5-5.50 crores gross, and in comparison with one of Ajay Devgn's recent films, Shaitaan, which scored approximately 4.15 crores pre-sales for the opening day. ## Raid 2 will reportedly be released on over 3500+ screens across the country, which is among the biggest of the year. Mumbai, August 7 - The sequel to Ajay Devgn-fronted crime thriller Raid has officially been postponed from November 15 of this year due to a tight release schedule. The movie is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta who confirmed the development.## Raid 2 was well on track until recently when Ajay Devgn-fronted highly-anticipated cop action drama Singham Again was pushed to Diwali 2024, two weeks before Raid 2's original release. It then became almost impossible to release two films of the actor with a tiny gap of just 2 weeks.## Director Rajkumar Gupta confirmed to Bollywood Hungama that the blockbuster will now be released early next year but the exact date is not yet revealed. The filmmaker said that producers will announce the official release date soon.## Raid 2 stars Ajay Devgn who reprises his role as an IRS officer, Amay Patnaik. In the first movie, Saurabh Shukla played the role of the antagonist but in the sequel, Riteish Deshmukh has replaced him to take on Ajay Devgn.
