Makers Announce Shoot Wrap For Ishaan Khatter And Mrunal Thakur's War Drama 'Pippa'
Mumbai, April 11 - The makers of the upcoming war drama movie, "Pippa", starring Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur in the leads, on Monday (April 11) announced that the shoot wrap for Ishaan, who plays the role of war hero Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta in the movie. ## Based on the book The Burning Chaffees by Balram Singh Mehta who fought during the Indo-Pak war in 1971, "Pippa" is directed by Raja Krishna Menon of Airlift fame while Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur will produce it under their respective production banners, RSVP Movies, and Roy Kapur Films.## The movie, which was announced in 2020, is billed as a heroic tank battle film that underscores the bravery of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, a veteran of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron, who, along with his siblings, fought on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. The battle, called the "Battle of Garibpur", was fought 12 days before India officially joined the war against Pakistan. ## "Pippa" also stars Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan in prominent roles while maestro AR Rahman has composed the music. It is scheduled to release in theaters on December 9, 2022. ## Ishaan Khatter took to Instagram and shared new stills of himself from the movie.
