The Hindi Remake Of Suriya's 'Soorarai Pottru' Gets Clearance To Go-Ahead By Madras High Court
Chennai, September 8, 2021: Earlier in July this year, Suriya starrer critically acclaimed and widely appreciated Tamil film, Soorarai Pottru was confirmed to be remade in Hindi. Suriya's 2D Entertainment joined hands with Vikram Malhotra's Abundantia Entertainment to produce the Hindi remake of this monster digital hit. ## Soon after the Hindi remake was announced, the movie hit a roadblock after Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment, who had co-produced the film in Tamil along with Suriya's 2D Entertainment, had approached the court and requested a stay on the film's remake. The judge had granted an injunction and advised both the team to find out a friendly solution. ## And now, nearly after two months, the case came up for hearing on Wednesday (September 8) and the Madras High Court vacated the injunction granted to Sikhya Entertainment. With this judgment, the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru gets clearance to go ahead and the makers can now resume work on this film. ## Sudha Kongara, who has directed the original film, will also direct the Hindi version of the film. It will be produced by Vikram Malhotra's Abundantia Ent in association with Suriya's 2D Entertainment. Soorarai Pottru' was based on the life story of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath. Suriya won praise for his role and won several awards. ## The makers have not revealed yet who will play Suriya’s role in the Hindi version. There are rumors that Akshay Kumar might play the lead role in the film. The cast of the film is yet to be revealed.## Stay tuned...
