India's Biggest Theater Screen In Andhra Pradesh Stop Operations Due To Low Ticket Prices
Nellore, December 25 - V Epiq, the largest theater screen of India, has shut down its operation due to the low ticket prices. Situated in Sullurpet, Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, the V Epiq screen is 100ft in width and 85ft in height, and is one of the largest in the world. ## It has come to the light that the V Epiq screen has suspended operations from yesterday (December 24) onwards due to Andhra Pradesh Government's restrictions on Ticket Prices. It is reported that the highest price of a movie ticket in the theater was just Rs. 35, which is among the lowest in the state. The theater owners reportedly said that they will lose more money by running it than staying shut. ## The V Epiq screen was opened on August 30, 2019, with Prabhas' starrer "Saaho". It was the third-largest screen in the world at the time of its opening. And now, the screen had to shut as it was not being able to generate enough revenue to stay open.## The situation of theaters in Andhra Pradesh is getting worst day by day as the government is looking in a revenge mood. In the last few days, the local authorities have seized as many as 50 theaters, citing several reasons.
