India's Biggest Theater Screen In Andhra Pradesh Stop Operations Due To Low Ticket Prices

Nellore, December 25 - V Epiq, the largest theater screen of India, has shut down its operation due to the low ticket prices. Situated in Sullurpet, Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, the V Epiq screen is 100ft in width and 85ft in height, and is one of the largest in the world. ## It has come to the light that the V Epiq screen has suspended operations from yesterday (December 24) onwards due to Andhra Pradesh Government's restrictions on Ticket Prices. It is reported that the highest price of a movie ticket in the theater was just Rs. 35, which is among the lowest in the state. The theater owners reportedly said that they will lose more money by running it than staying shut. ## The V Epiq screen was opened on August 30, 2019, with Prabhas' starrer "Saaho". It was the third-largest screen in the world at the time of its opening. And now, the screen had to shut as it was not being able to generate enough revenue to stay open.## The situation of theaters in Andhra Pradesh is getting worst day by day as the government is looking in a revenge mood. In the last few days, the local authorities have seized as many as 50 theaters, citing several reasons. Chennai, Dec 25 (IANS) Actor and director Raghava Lawrence has said he will donate Rs eight lakh to Parvathi Ammal, on whose life the critically-acclaimed courtroom drama 'Jai Bhim' was based. ## Raghava, who had earlier announced that he would build a house for Parvathi Ammal and her family, has said that in the wake of the Tamil Nadu government now having announced that it would build a house for her, he will now instead donate an amount of Rs eight lakh to her. ## Raghava said, "I had promised to build a house for Parvathi Ammal after getting to know about her poverty-stricken condition from the media. I had met her in person in this regard. She had informed me that her daughter had some land in a village called Keela Naththam in Ariyalur district and wanted me to build a house for her there. 'Going nude was too much for Telugu audience': Sukumar on shelving raw scene in 'Pushpa'

Hyderabad, Dec 25 (IANS) The climax of 'Pushpa: The Rise' was to have originally featured actors Allu Arjun and Fahadh Fassil in the nude but the makers backed off, apprehensive of the response from the conservative Telugu audience. ## In a conversation with the media, director Sukumar let the secret slip. "The climax confrontation scene is different from the one we originally shot," Sukumar revealed. ## Disclosing the fact that both Allu Arjun and Fahadh Fassil were supposed to appear nude in the scene, Sukumar explains that only then would the scene have appealed in its rawest form. ## "Allu Arjun and Fahadh were supposed to go nude for the climax scene. 'Baahubali' producer's suggestion on AP ticket pricing issue

Touted to be the biggest film of the Indian cinema to date, the period action drama will be released in close to 10K theaters worldwide, which is the widest ever for an Indian film. ## The movie, starring Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt in prominent roles, will have the biggest release in the USA for an Indian film. It will be released in over 2212 theaters, including 1000 for Telugu, followed by 793 Hindi, 291 Tamil, 66 Malayalam, and 62 for Kannada languages. The USA will be the second biggest market for "RRR" after India. ## Earlier, SS Rajamouli's own directorial "Baahubali 2 The Conclusion" was the biggest release ever with 6500 theaters worldwide. Interestingly, it is the second highest-grossing Indian film at the worldwide box office and the highest in India. Pawan Kalyan's 'Bheemla Nayak' Officially Postponed To Clear Roads For 'RRR' And 'Radhe Shyam'

Hyderabad, December 21 - As reported earlier, power star Pawan Kalyan's "Bheemla Nayak" has officially been postponed and is out from Sankranthi 2022 race. The new release date is yet to be announced but it will most certainly be released on February 25, 2022. ## Earlier, the makers of "Bheemla Nayak" were promoting the film as Sankranthi 2022 release, but the producer's guild intervened in the issue and made the film opt for another date as it would have dented the box office potential of Pan India biggies "RRR" and "Radhe Shyam", which are slated for Jan. 7 and Jan. 14 release, respectively. ## It is said that Pawan Kalyan has agreed to the producer's guild's suggestion in the larger interest of the Telugu film industry. Directed by Saagar Chandra and written by Trivikram, the film is the official remake of the Malayalam hit, Ayyapanum Koshiyum. It also stars Rana Daggubati and Nithya Menen in key roles. ## Meanwhile, Venkatesh and Varun Tej's "F3" will now release on April 29th, 2022. It was supposed to release in Feb/March 2022. On the other hand, Mahesh Babu's "Sarkaru Vaari Paata" will be released on April 1st as scheduled (as of now). Earlier, it was originally announced for January 13, 2022, but postponed to make things easy for others films. ## Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan's "Acharya" will also be released as scheduled on February 4, 2022.
