Box Office: 'Zara Hatke Zara Bachke' Second Day and 'Spider-Man: Across The Spiderverse' Third Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, June 3 - It is proving to be a happy Saturday for the Hindi film industry as Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is showing big gains at the box office as the business is up by over 30%-35% from Friday opening day. ## The comedy-drama film had a good start with 5.49 crores net collection and as per the early estimates, the movie scored around 7-7.50 crores net on its second day/first Saturday. This takes the total collection to approx. 13 crores in two days. ## The fact that trade wasn't expecting ZHZB to put these sorts of collections, 13 crores in two days is something the makers will be really happy with. The buy one get one ticket offer is undoubtedly benefitting the biz which is applicable till Sunday (June 4). ## The Maddock Films production is looking to score 20-22 crores net opening weekend which will be a very good result for ZHZB. The real test of the movie will begin on Monday and if it manages to hold well, the movie has a great chance of emerging as a clean box-office hit. ## Meanwhile, the animated Hollywood superhero movie Spider-Man: Across The Spiderverse is also having a good opening weekend. After scoring around 8.20 crores net in the first two days, the movie has scored over 60% jump today for an estimated 6.50-7 crores net.## "Across The Spiderverse" has already crossed the lifetime collection of the first film "Into The Spiderverse" which scored just 6.50 crores net in India in 2018. Mumbai, June 2 - After the slow start in the morning, Maddock Films' Zara Hatke Zara Bachke picked up well during the day to post a healthy opening day at the box office. ## The movie had scored a decent advance booking which indicated a 3 crores start. However, the buy one get one offer helped the film to do well during the day as early estimates suggest around 5.50 crores net opening day. The number might reach 6 crores net which remains to see. ## Considering the low pre-release buzz, the opening of 5.50-6 crores can be termed very good for a movie featuring Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan. The last theatrical release of Kaushal "Bhoot – Part One" took the opening of 5.10 crores and that was in the pre-pandemic era. ## Should the movie actually open at 5.50 crores or with a little difference here and there, it is good news as the industry really needed the mid-range films to at least, open well before word of mouth comes into the play and ZHZB has been able to do that.## Apart from the buy one get one offer, the trade believes that keeping the low ticket prices has also helped the movie on its opening day and is up for a good opening weekend. Mumbai, May 25 - Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has been roped in to headline Malayalam director Rosshan Andrrews' action thriller film. The yet-untitled movie will jointly be produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films. ## The upcoming movie marks the maiden Bollywood movie of director Andrrews who is known for Malayalam blockbusters such as "Mumbai Police" and "Kayamkulam Kochunni" while it also marks the first time that Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films have worked together. ## Shahid Kapoor said, "It's rare to find a subject that has action, thrill, drama, and suspense all packed into one script and I am really looking forward to this. It's a privilege to be collaborating with Zee Studios and with Siddharth Roy Kapur with whom I have worked on Haider and Kaminey earlier". ## "Rosshan Andrrews is a veteran filmmaker whose Malayalam filmography is spectacular. We have spent many months together now and it will be a pleasure to work with such a fantastic cinematic mind. I can't wait to bring this exhilarating, entertaining, and thrilling story to the masses", the actor added. ## Scheduled to start shooting in the second half of 2023, the film revolves around a brilliant yet rebellious police officer who uncovers a web of deceit and betrayal while investigating a high-profile case. Pooja Hegde reportedly plays the female lead role.## Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor is currently shooting for Maddock Films' untitled robotic romantic comedy film that is scheduled to release later this year. The Lead Cast and Director of The Hindi Remake of Tamil Blockbuster 'Love Today' Revealed

Mumbai, May 24 - One of the biggest Tamil hits of the last year, romantic-drama Love Today is getting a Hindi remake. The Hindi filmmakers continue to invest in remakes despite the fact that most of them are not performing well. ## It was recently revealed that Phantom Studios in association with "Love Today" original producers AGS Entertainment will be producing the Bollywood remake. Now, according to the latest reports, the makers have locked the lead star cast and director for the same. ## According to Peepingmoon.com, superstar Aamir Khan's son, Junaid Khan, and Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's younger daughter, Khushi Kapoor, have been locked in to headline the "Love Today" remake. "Laal Singh Chaddha" director Advait Chandan has been brought on board to helm the Hindi version. ## "The movie is an entertaining look at love in today's technologically advanced world and has very well been adapted for Hindi-speaking audiences. The makers have made several changes to make it a little more mainstream, but the core theme of modern love and the emotional trials of families has been retained as it is", says the report.## The original Tamil movie starred Pradeep Ranganathan (also director) and Ivana in the leading roles alongside Sathyaraj, Yogi Babu, and Raadhika Sarathkumar. Makers Lock Female Cast For Akshay Kumar-Fronted 'Sky Force'

Mumbai, May 23 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently kicked off the shooting of Maddock Film's ambitious aerial action thriller Sky Force which is being directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur. ## The movie is set against the backdrop of the Indian Air Force based on true events. Akshay plays the role of an Air Force officer while it was revealed recently that Veer Pahariya, the son of renowned businessman Sanjay Pahariya has been roped in to play a key role in his acting debut. ## Now, according to Peepingmoon.com, the makers have also locked the female cast. Mumbai, May 22 - The Kerala Story is continuing to do well at the box office after scoring another fantastic third weekend. It scored around 27 crores net in its third weekend and takes the total collection to over 198 crores in just 17 days. ## Directed by Sudipto Sen, The Kerala Story will cross the 200 crores net mark sometime today and will become only the 2nd Bollywood as well as the Indian movie of 2023 to reach this milestone. Mumbai, May 21 - Yash Raj Films' blockbuster sequel War 2 locks Republic Day 2025 weekend as the release date. ## The blockbuster spy thriller has been in the news over the last few weeks regarding its casting after the studio pulled off a casting coup for this biggie by bringing Telugu superstar Jr. NTR on board to lock horns with Hrithik Roshan. ## The "Brahmastra" director Ayan Mukerji was revealed as the director who will be helming the sequel which will go on floors by November or December this year.
