'Stree 2' Tops 30 Million (3 Crore) Footfalls In India; Sells 10 Million Tickets In Book My Show

Mumbai, September 20 - As Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 is getting closer to becoming the biggest Hindi grosser of all time at the domestic box office, the horror-comedy blockbuster has topped 30 million (3 crores) footfalls in India. ## The Amar Kaushik's directorial has crossed 3 crore admissions in Indian theatres as I type this and becomes the second film of 2024 to achieve the feat after Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD. Stree 2 is the first 3 crore footfall title for the entire major cast and crew along with Maddock Film and Jio Studio.## Post the COVID-19 pandemic, Stree 2 is the 8th film to sell 30 million or more tickets at the Indian box office, after RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, Pathaan, Gadar 2, Jawan, Animal, and Kalki 2898 AD. Additionally, Stree 2 has sold 10 million tickets through the ticketing platform Book My Show, making it the second movie of 2024 after Kalki to do so. ## At the box office, the Maddock Films' production has scored approximately 564 crores net collection (673 crores gross) at the domestic box office. Mumbai, September 20 - Folk horror thriller Tumbbad re-release has had a very good first week at the domestic box office which saw it almost outgrossing the film's lifetime original run of approximately 13.50 crores net collection. ## Rahi Anil Barve's directorial remained over the 1 crore mark for the seventh day in a row, scoring approximately 1.25 crore net collection on Thursday. This took the total re-release collection of the movie to approximately 13.15 crores net in 7 days. ## Tumbbad is expected to witness a good jump on its second Friday due to National Cinema Day on which the ticket prices are kept at just rs. 99. Mumbai, September 19 - Director Anees Bazmee is facing some heat ahead of the release of his hugely-awaited Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan. The horror comedy is scheduled to hit the big screen on November 1st and it will clash with another biggie, Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn. ## There has been a lot of buzz around the box office clash between BB3 and Singham 3, and it seemed Bazmee was not happy with it as BB3 was the first to lock a Diwali release in its pursuit of getting a solo release. It was recently reported that the BB3 team approached director Rohit Shetty to consider postponing the release of his cop drama. ## Bazmee said in a recent interview the BB3 and Singham Again releasing at the same weekend is a business decision taken by the producers and he doesn't want to interfere in this by asking Ajay Devgn and anyone else to reconsider their decision. Mumbai, September 17 - The folk horror thriller Tumbbad is heading towards emerging as a big success story in its re-release run at the domestic box office after not getting much return in its original run 6 years ago despite the critical acclaim.## Upon re-release on September 13, the Rahi Anil Barve's directorial film had a very good opening weekend with approximately 7.25 crores net which is almost 225% more than the film's original run first-weekend collection of 3.25 crores net.## The superb weekend almost ensured that the film would do well during the weekdays and come the first Monday, it performed better than expected to score higher collection than the first day (Friday). Mumbai, September 14 - Critically acclaimed Folk horror thriller Tumbbad is up for a fantastic re-release run at the domestic box office and is set to outgross its lifetime original run collection within two weeks. ## The movie was re-released on September 13 amid much anticipation and it didn't disappoint with superb 1.60 crores net opening, which is almost 2.5X of its original run opening day collection of 65 lakh. As word of mouth grows, it scored a deserving jump of +50% on Saturday. ## On its second day, Tumbbad earned approximately 2.60 crores net collection (3+ crores gross), pushing the total re-release collection to approx. 4.20 crores net in 2 days. Interestingly, in its original run, the movie never scored 2 crores or more collection in a single day. ## The film had scored approximately 3.25 crores net in its original run opening weekend which has been crossed in just 2 days with a good margin upon its re-release. Shoot Details Revealed For Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri's Romantic Movie With Director Anurag Basu

Mumbai, September 14 - Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan and new sensation Triptii Dimri are set to be reunited after the upcoming horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which marks their first collaboration. ## Kartik and Triptii were supposed to do the third instalment of the blockbuster Aashiqui franchise with director Anurag Basu but that movie is no longer happening due to copyright issues. Instead, the duo are on board to headline the filmmaker's love story film which is yet to be titled. ## Now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, the yet-untitled film is set to start filming on September 24 in Mumbai for a brief schedule. It will be shot across India from September 2024 to February 2025 as the makers are looking to bring the film by the end of next year. ## It will be a musical love story and the music for the same will be composed by Pritam. Mumbai, September 14 - One of the most critically acclaimed folk horror Indian films ever, Tumbbad got re-released on September 13 amid much anticipation and it delivered what was expected from it regarding the box office collection. ## Over the last few months, Bollywood has been following the re-release trend of some classic films that are also doing well at the box office. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in the leading roles. ## Love and War was originally announced for the Christmas 2025 release but due to reasons unknown, it has been pushed back to March 20, 2026, coinciding with the festive season of Eid, Ram Navami and Gudi Padwa. The shoot will commence in October this year. ## The film was announced in January this year and it created a stir with its casting of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. Shah Rukh Khan's 'King' To Release On Eid 2026

Mumbai, September 13 - After the historic comeback in 2023 with three back-to-back big blockbusters, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is taking time before starting his next film, titled King which with director Sujoy Ghosh under production Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix. ## King has been in the pre-production work for a while now and was supposed to go on floors by the end of this year. However, the makers are being extra careful before starting the shoot which has now been delayed to January 2026, according to the report by Pinkvilla. ## It is said that the first schedule of King will commence in Mumbai in January 2025, followed by a marathon schedule in Europe. The makers have done multiple rounds of recce in Europe to identify virgin locations that bring scale to the film. ## The film will be shot until August/September 2025 due to multiple changes in the locations.
