Vicky Kaushal-Fronted 'Sam Bahadur' Release Date Locked

Mumbai, December 1 - Director Meghna Gulzar is all set to bring the biopic of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw to the big screen, in the form of Sam Bahadur. Vicky Kaushal is playing the title role of the legendary war hero. ## On Thursday (December 1), producer Ronnie Screwvala of RSVP Movies confirmed the release date of this biographical war drama film, and it will be hitting worldwide theaters on 1st December 2023, which is exactly one year from today. ## The makers announced the release date of the movie with the first look glimpse. Box Office: Drishyam 2 Second Wednesday and Bhediya First Wednesday Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 30 - Drishyam 2 continues its fantastic run at the box office as the film has shown a below 10% drop only which is similar to yesterday's drop. The film has shown a tremendous hold over the weekdays not just this week but also in the first week. The hold over weekdays is the reason why this film is going to cross the 200 crores net box office mark. ## As per the early estimates, "Drishyam 2" scored an estimated approx. 4.85 crores net on its second Wednesday which will take the entire collection to approx 159.40cr. The second-week collections will be around 60 crores which will be only second to The Kashmir Files as far as this year's box office goes. The film will emerge as a blockbuster as the lifetime total is set to be more than 200cr minimum. It can also reach to 225cr mark as well but that depends on how the film fares when a mega competitor like Avatar2 arrives. ## Bhediya on the other hand continues with its downward trajectory as the early estimate collections suggest approx. 3.20 crores net on its first Wednesday. The film is showing approx 10% daily drop despite collecting very low figures at the box office. The first Wednesday collections will take the entire collection of Bhediya to a little over the 39cr net box office mark.## The final lifetime total is set to be around the 60cr net box office mark unless the film shows massive drops over the next couple of days. The film has underperformed at the box office as the trailer gave a nice feel about the film being a box office winner. The music was the main reason why the film failed to take a good initial and then the content did the rest. On its second Monday, the movie scored an estimated 6 crores net. The hold could have been good if the collections were in the range of 6 to 6.50cr net box office mark.## The first Monday collections will take the entire collections of Bhediya to a little over the 32.50cr net box office mark. Blessed with rock solid star-cast led by Ranveer Singh, "Cirkus" is the first outright comedy caper for Shetty outside his already established "Golmaal" franchise.## Produced by Rohit Shetty in association with Reliance Entertainment and T-Series, "Cirkus" has been confirmed to hit theaters on December 23 this year during the Christmas weekend. Prabhas, Kriti Sanon's Magnum Opus 'Adipurush' To Be Delayed To 2024?

Mumbai, November 26 - A lot has changed since the release of the teaser of Prabhas-fronted Adipurush and it looks like there is a lot yet to change. The teaser, which was launched in early October, got mixed to negative responses which forced the makers to take a step back and re-work the quality of the movie. ## It was recently revealed that the movie would not able to meet its original release date of January 12, 2023, and would be delayed, which the makers officially confirmed and announced June 16, 2023, release. However, as per the latest reports, "Adipurush" will be further delayed as the makers are re-working on the entire VFX shots. ## It is said that the budget of "Adipurush" will be increased by approx. 100 crores and the release might get delayed to Sankranthi 2024. It was supposed to be Prabhas' next release, but now, it seems his action thriller "Salaar" with director Prashanth Neel will be hitting theaters first. ## "Salaar", produced by Hombale Films, was announced for September 28, 2023, release and it is very much on track to meet the date without any issues. There is, however, not yet confirmed whether "Adipurush" would actually be delayed or not as there are no official words from people associated with this magnum opus. ## Prabhas, meanwhile, has his hands full of blockbuster titles. He has a film with director Maruthi which has already started production, and then will team up with Sandeep Vanga Reddy for "Spirit". Box Office: Bhediya Opening Day/First Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 25 - The big release of this week "Bhediya" starring Varun Dhawan has been released in theaters today. The film has seen a big release on approx more than 2500 screens though some Varun Dhawan starters had gone higher in screens compared to Bhediya. The morning start of the film was low and that proved to be a killer for the film. After the dull morning start, the film did see some walk-ins in subsequent screenings but it couldn't pick as the early estimates suggest around 7.50 crores net (final numbers may vary). The opening-day collections are decent but it would have been nice had it clicked a double-digit start. ## "Bhediya" had good hype and the response to the trailer was good too but it seems the film gets affected by the "Drishyam 2" wave and becomes the second choice for moviegoers. The critics' reviews are positive while the audience's word of mouth to mixed to positive.## Bhediya has to show big growth tomorrow and on Sunday to register healthy first-weekend numbers and a 30 crores weekend should be the bare minimum target for the film. The opening of the film is better than most big films considering the clash factor with an established film. Box Office: Drishyam 2 Second Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 25 - Drishyam 2 continues its blockbuster run at the box office. Once again the drop in the film will be less than 10% which is a huge achievement for any film in the second week. The second Friday collections of Drishyam2 will come out to be higher than many big films opening day collections.## The early estimate suggests around 8 crores net on the second Friday, which takes the entire collections of the film to over 112.50 crores net mark. The film is set for a big second-weekend number and it won't be surprising if Drishyam 2 collects better than Bhediya which is visible on day one as Drishyam2 will come out to be on a higher side compared to Bhediya despite being on the eighth day compared to the first day of Bhediya.## The film will see further growth tomorrow and eventually will fire on the second Sunday as this will be the first choice for moviegoers. A 30 crores second weekend will confirm that Drishyam2 is a blockbuster film. The lifetime numbers are hard to predict from here on the way the film is performing but the 200cr collections are pretty much possible.## The film will continue with huge footfalls till the last week of December in Mumbai and Gujarat and it won't be surprising if it is putting better collections in these circuits than new titles. The worldwide business of the film has also crossed the 150cr mark with approx 124cr gross from domestic and the rest from overseas. Box Office: Drishyam 2 Crosses 100 Crores Net

Mumbai, November 25 - Ajay Devgn-fronted suspense thriller Drishyam 2 has crossed the 100 crores net mark in the flat one week, becoming only the fourth Bollywood movie to cross the milestone in 2022. ## Directed by Abhishek Pathak, "Drishyam 2" has managed to collect over 104 crores net in the opening week, after scoring approx. 8.50 crores net on Thursday. It opened to a good collection of 15.37 crores and then picked up handsomely to score a very good weekend of 64.14 crores net. ## "Drishyam 2" held strongly during the weekdays and showed a marginal drop to remain on track to score a huge lifetime total. Overseas, the film has grossed approx. 23 cores, pushing global cume to approx. 145 crores in 7 days.## Produced by Panorama Studios and Viacom18, "Drishyam 2" is only the second Bollywood film of 2022 to reach 100 crores mark in flat one week after Ayan Mukerji's "Brahmastra Part One: Shiva".
