Box Office: Drishyam 2 First Thursday Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 24 - Drishyam 2 is heading toward another outstanding day at the box office as the film has seen a drop of under 10% which is an extraordinary trend for a film like Drishyam2. Mumbai and Gujarat circuits continue to drive the film while northern markets which did not start on big levels are also doing fine business now which is rare for a multiplex film like Drishyam 2. This could be due to the main reasons recall factor of the film and the popularity of Ajay Devgn in the northern belts.## "Drishyam 2" scores an estimated 8.70 crores net on its first Tuesday. The first Thursday collections will take the entire box office collections of the film to over 104 crores net mark depending on the actual first Thursday collections. Box Office: Drishyam 2 First Wednesday Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 23 - Drishyam 2 continues its victory march at the box office with strong collections across all the circuits. Just like yesterday when the film had a negligible drop of around 10% today also the film witnessed a similar sort of drop which is extraordinary as in real terms the business has dropped due to lower average ticket prices. If we compare the number of admits then there is not much difference between the first-day admits and today's admits.## On its first Wednesday, "Drishyam 2" scored an estimated 9.25-9.75 crores net. A double-digit Wednesday cannot rule out too as the way the film has performed over the last few days these type of multiplex films generally does the highest business in night shows and if night shows outperform then 10 cr Wednesday won't be that hard. ## The first Wednesday collections will take the entire box office collections of Drishyam 2 to approx 96.25cr net box office mark depending on the actual Wednesday collections. The first week business of 100cr which looked difficult a few days back will be surpassed easily due to insane holds over the weekdays. The business on weekdays has proved to be better than the first weekend collections as the weekdays business enabled the film to score the 100cr mark in the first week.## Drishyam2 has a shot at a 200cr grosser from here on although next week will see a big release in the form of Bhediya, which won't harm the business of Drishyam2 due to being an established film with universal appreciation. The Cast For Akshay Kumar's Comedy Film With Mudassar Aziz Locked

Mumbai, November 23 - A few months ago, it was reported that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar would be teaming up with director Mudassar Aziz for a comedy-drama film, titled Khel Khel Mein. The yet-to-be-announced film will be produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.## While the movie is not yet made official, the makers have reportedly locked the rest of the cast alongside Akshay in prominent roles. According to Hindustan Times, Akshay's "Bell Bottom" (2021) co-star Vaani Kapoor, and also his "Naam Shabana" (2017) and "Mission Mangal" (2019) co-star Taapsee Pannu would be playing the female lead role.## In addition to this, the upcoming movie will also reportedly feature popular Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk in a prominent role. Some more actors are also expected to come on board for which the details are not revealed yet. "Khel Khel Mein" is said to be a proper comedy feature with emotional elements. ## The shooting of "Khel Khel Mein" is expected to kickstart sometime next year after Akshay wraps up his ongoing projects. Ajay Devgn's And Mohanlal's 'Drishyam 3' Hindi And Malayalam Versions To Be Made Simultaneously?

Mumbai, November 22 - Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's suspense thriller Drishyam 2 was released directly on Amazon Prime Video in February 2021 and received critical acclaim. Jeetu Joseph directed the film that was hailed as one of the best thrillers ever in Malayalam cinema.## The Hindi remake of "Drishyam 2", starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, was released in theaters on November 18 and scored blockbuster numbers in the opening weekend. Box Office: Drishyam 2 First Tuesday Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 22 - Drishyam 2 continues its dream run at the box office as the film did not show a big drop despite higher collections on the first Monday. The film is probably the biggest success for the Hindi film industry post-pandemic in real terms though the job has not been finished till now.## The early estimate collections suggest 10.50-11 crores net on the first Tuesday. The first Tuesday collections will take the entire box office collections of the film to over 86.50 crores net mark and the target of 100cr first week is easy now. Box Office: Drishyam 2 First Sunday/Third Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 20 - Drishyam 2, which had a bumper collection on the first two days, scores further big growth on the third day of its box office run. Yesterday, the film witnessed approx 40% growth compared to the first day while today it is in the range of 25% which is again an excellent number.## The first Sunday's early estimates collection suggests approx. 27 crores net. The first Sunday collections will take the entire collection of Drishyam 2 to over 63 crores net depending on the final official figures which will be known in the morning. The first three days' collections are huge for the Ajay Devgan starrer as the expectations were below 50 crores net mark but the film has surpassed that figure by a big margin. ## Drishyam 2 will be the third highest weekend of Ajay Devgn after "Golmaal Again" and "Singham Returns" both of which were national holiday-released films in pre-pandemic times. The first weekend collections have ensured that "Drishyam 2" is a hit but there is a difference between a hit and a major hit film and that Drishyam 2 has to prove from here on. The multiplexes continue to drive the film while single screens also contributed today better than all previous days.## The hold on Monday is going to be very important for the film and if the film manages to stay in double digits or close to it then the film will be a big grosser. Box Office: Drishyam 2 Second Day/First Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 19 - Drishyam 2, which provided a huge boost to the Hindi film industry on its opening day by clocking more than 15 crore net collections, has seen extraordinary growth on the second day. The growth was always expected due to the positive reports but such huge growth was not expected, which is in the range of 40-45% and it's not that the opening was low. ## If we compare the growth in the three main chains PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis, then the film has shown a growth of 57% compared to the first day. Saturdays are the best days in the multiplexes despite that the jump is huge. The good thing is that the film is doing good business even on the single screens thanks to the face value of Ajay Devgan and the recall value of the first Drishyam film as the first part was a huge hit on satellite. ## The early estimate collections on the first Saturday/second day suggest approx. 21.25 crores net. Ram Setu Director Abhishek Sharma To Team Up With John Abraham For A Sci-fi Film

Box Office: Drishyam 2 Opening Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, November 18 - The big movie of the day, "Drishyam 2" starring Ajay Devgan has been released in theaters today. The film is a sequel to Drishyam which was released in 2015 and did very well at the box office. But more than the box office, its run on satellite has made the film into a cult film with excellent impressions. There was a brand value and then the trailer of the film received immensely positive feedback from its target audience, all this coupled with an excellent start at the box office which is very rare for Hindi films post the pandemic.## The film has been released on over 3300 screens making it one of the biggest releases ever of Ajay Devgan in terms of size. The film started with an average morning occupancy of around 20% which is much better than most of the films released so far in 2022. The morning start was comparable to "Ram Setu" which is the second biggest opener post-pandemic for Hindi films.## The opening day early estimates of "Drishyam 2" suggest around 15 crores net box office mark which is a very good first-day collection for a thriller movie in the post-pandemic times.
